"Don't do that you'll get sick," you warned Jun as he was splashing through the puddles in front of your house.
You had just spent the day with him when it had suddenly started to rain. You and Jun had rushed to your house when he insisted that he wanted to stay outside and play in the rain.
"Come on it's fun," he pleaded with you since you refused to leave the shelter of your porch.
That's when he walked up to and pulled you into the rain spinning you around and kicking puddles of water at you.
You had to admit it was fun. Before you knew it you were laughing and kicking puddles of water at him as well.
That was the last memory you remember having with Jun.
After that day he had disappeared without a trace. The worst part was that he didn't even say goodbye or let you know that he was leaving.
It had been a long while since Jun had left but, that didn't stop you from thinking about him all the time. You were incredibly close to him. You had heard that he wasn't even in China anymore and that seemed to ruin your hope of getting your best friend back.
Meanwhile, today you were walking through town when you decided to head down to your favourite ice cream shop. It was the one that you and Jun used to go to regularly.
It was still a good distance away so you took your time walking with your head down and thinking about your past memories with Jun.
Why do I feel so lost without him.
You were watching your feet and were so caught in thought that you didn't even notice when you had bumped into someone.
"Oh I'm so sor-," you began stopping mid-sentence when you realized you happened to bump into.
"Jun?!"
"(Y/N)?!"
Before you knew it you were engulfed in a hug and it was the same warm, fuzzy hug that Jun used to give you all the time.
You both stared at each other shocked and amazed. He didn't look very different, he was still the Jun that you've known for years.
She's still just as beautiful as she was when I had left, Jun thought to himself.
You finally decided to break the silence. "Hey, do you want to come with me. I was just about to go to my favourite ice cream shop just down the street,"
"The one that we always used to go to?" he asked with a bright smile. You nodded.
"Yes, I'd love that actually," Jun replied with a smile. With that you and Jun went to the ice cream shop and on your way you talked about almost everything.
You had a lot to catch up on after all. You talked about how he was doing. His life in Korea, which is where he had moved to and you found out that he was part of a group named Seventeen who had recently debuted. He was currently on a break so he had come back home to rest.
When you had reached your destination and received your ice cream you finally asked the question that you were longing to ask him.
"Why did you just leave like that without telling me?" you asked him. He looked as if he was really thinking about how to answer this question. His mouth opened and closed a few times until he finally found an answer.
"I didn't want to hurt you," he said looking down. "We were so close and I didn't want to see the look on your face when I told you that I'd be leaving and probably not coming back for a while."
It finally dawned on you. He didn't tell you because he knew that you'd be hurt. He knew exactly how bad it would feel to say goodbye.
"And I'm sorry for not telling you. I knew that it was wrong of me to just leave like that." he replied placing a hand on top of yours. You smiled at him.
"That's okay," you said. "I'm just happy that you're here now. We still have a catch up on anyways." He gave a bright smile and led you out of the ice cream shop.
The rest of your day you spent with Jun at the movies, at the park and just catching up on everything that you missed out on when he was gone. It felt as if he had never left.
