The Eavesdrop

"So... you guys dating now, or...?"

"I don't know what you're talking about."

"Dude! We all saw the kiss."

I overheard Storm and the Redfox twins, Huojin and Pythios, speaking to each other. They weren't even remotely trying to be quiet. I sat on the other side of the freaking guild hall, and I could hear them as clearly as if they were speaking directly into my ear.

Storm crossed his arms. "Nothing happened. You agree, right, Camilla?" He asked, as our purple-haired friend had been sitting nearby. She was doing much better, and Millie planned to come on our next mission with us.

Camilla bit into a piece of cake she had been eating. "Nah, Storm. We all saw it." She smirked slightly as she savoured the cake. "This cake is so good, Huojin!" She complimented the dark haired boy, who had baked the cake for her. Huojin blushed.

Pythios punched Storm playfully, cackling. "Dude, just ask her out! Nashi's cute." I blushed as I heard Pythios Redfox compliment me. I didn't think I was flattering, personally, with my poofy pink hair and my pale complexion. But I guess I had been put in the category, 'cute'.

The ice boy Storm just sighed. "If I ask Nashi out, then you have to ask out Fay."

"Not happening! That girl is freaking demon spawn!" Pythios threw up his arms in disbelief.

Camilla took another bite of cake, and looked up. "Literally. You seen Elfman?" And she stuffed her face again.

Storm ran his fingers through his hair in a brisk movement. "Look, Nashi is totally adorable--" My stomach made a three-sixty inside, as my face filled with pink flush. "--but I don't think she likes me like that. Anyway, we have missions to do. We need to focus on our jobs, and my mother doesn't like Lucy much anyway, much less her daughter."

My heart shattered like glass. I felt like slapping him, and kissing him, and running away from him, and... I don't even quite know what to think of Storm Fullbuster. He was a sweet, funny, but oblivious guy... Many feelings about him in my mind. I do like him though, and he should know that. I know he likes me, by the way he looks at me.

And if he didn't like me... why would he kiss me?

Storm's right though. We should focus on our jobs in Fairy Tail anyway... it would make our job weird on the team if we were dating anyway, right? Ugh, it would have been better if I hadn't known...

With that, I ignored the rest of Storm and Redfox twins' conversation, wandering over to the request board.
