Who Needs Them? I Do...

"So, you want to join our group?"

I nodded. "Pythios, can you just give me a straight answer? I've been discussing with you for half an hour now." I sighed. I'd been haggling with the dark haired boy for a while now, asking but not begging to be on his and Huojin's team.

Huojin appeared after a couple more minutes. "Pythios, be nice to Nashima. Nashima, you can join our team, if you'd like to."

"Thanks. Hey, Huojin, where have you been, anyway?"

Huojin gave a small smirk. "I was hanging with my girlfriend."

Pythios seemed taken aback. I wasn't very surprised; Huojin was a handsome guy. "Who is it?"

"Fay Strauss." Huojin chuckled, blushing a tiny bit. "I think Pythios should go for Camilla, but that's just me. They'd be a cute couple." Pythios' face went crimson and he punched Huojin in the shoulder.

After a bit more teasing Pythios about his small little crush on Camilla, we went over to the request board. I caught the gaze of Storm Fullbuster a couple times, but I turned away without even blushing. I didn't even miss them. No.... I didn't. Who needs them? The Redfox brothers will be fine.

Huojin adjusted his spectacles and examined the board, Pythios talking urgently into his brother's ear. "I found one. It doesn't pay much, but it's either this or go to the theatre and act." I shuddered, blushing, remembering my mission with Storm and Camilla...

"Great acting." I complimented Storm.

He smirked at me. "I wasn't acting."

Damn it, Nashi! I hit my head, earning a concerned glance from Huojin. "You alright, Nashima?"

I nodded. "Just tell me the job, please."

Huojin cleared his throat. "It's simple, really. We just need to go to the mountains on the edge of Fiore to receive some berries. The guy who put this up needs them for his potions. Apparently he specializes in potions and charms. Sounds easy enough, right? And he's offering 5,000 Jewel."

"Great! Shall we go?" I'd do anything to leave the Guild Hall, honestly. Pythios nodded, and Huojin wisely adjusted his glasses again. "Of course." And we left the Guild Hall.

Right as I reached the door, a hand grabbed my wrist. "Nashi... are you sure that you want to go with them? Camilla and I were just about to--"

I tore my wrist away from Storm, avoiding his gaze which would most likely shatter my heart if I saw it. "I'll be fine. I don't need you."

And I walked away. Despite my composed yet pissed off face, my emotions were threatening to come out eventually. I wanted to discuss this whole thing with him, why I was acting like a bitch like this. It's not like I do it without reason.. I have perfect reason to be acting this way...

"Nashi?" Pythios' voice brought me out of my mental rant.

My eyes grew misty. "I'm fine."

"You sure?"

"I told you I'm fine!" I snapped, clenching my fists.

Huojin stepped up. from behind the both of us. "So, how do you suppose we get to the mountains? If we walk, it will take approximately two days, and even then, it would add another half a day counting breaks and/or sleep. Maybe we should take the train?"

Pythios nodded. "Yeah, sure. Jin, you're too smart for your own good."

The twins were polar opposites, and anyone who could see them would agree. Huojin was introverted, intelligent and snarky, and Pythios was extroverted, enthusiastic and laid back. Their relationship interested me slightly, only because I wondered how they would get along so well being so different.
