The Avidity Glass

"What's our team name?"

Storm tilted his head. "What do you mean?"

"You know, how my parents, Grey and Erza were Team Natsu?" I said to him.

Camilla sighed. "Why do we need one name?"

"Whatever..." Now I felt stupid. Camilla made me feel inferior on so many levels. But if I said anything, she'd probably hurt me or something. She and Storm were talking now, inaudible to my ears, and I felt left out.

"Um... guys?" I mumbled. They didn't hear me. Ugh.

Storm tapped my shoulder. I looked over expectantly, and then I realized he was just notifying me that we were here. We were in front of a tall, narrow building: one that looked like a cliché haunted house. Camilla knocked on the door, her purple braid swinging behind her.

Tap tap tap

Footsteps boomed inside the building, as a tall woman answered the door. "Hello, children."

Camilla showed her the guild mark to the woman. Storm stepped up beside her, but I stayed behind him, hidden. "Hello. I am Camilla Scarlet, here from Fairy Tail. We've accepted the job request." She said, serious. "You must be Draeci?"

The woman nodded. "Yes. And who are these two? What are their magic types?"

"This is Storm Fullbuster, ice-make magic. And Nashima, who... um, what's your magic?" Camilla asked me. I blushed.

"I haven't exactly found my magic yet... but I have been training with Mother and Father..." I mumbled, embarrassed. Natsu, my father, had trained me a little in Dragon Slayer magic, while Lucy, my mother, has trained me in celestial magic. I even have her Libra and Pisces keys, which she handed down to me as a gift when I summoned Leo.

Camilla stared. "Then, why exactly are you here?"

Storm stepped in front of me, face-to-face with Camilla. "Because, Millie, Nashi just joined Fairy Tail and I want her to see what it's like to work for the Guild. We're the most suitable people to help her adjust," Storm mumbled to her quietly. "What, do you think Huojin and Pythios would be better? They'd burn her alive!" I'd heard about Pythios and Huojin. They were the twin sons of Gajeel Redfox and Levy McGarden.

Draeci interrupted their bickering, tapping on Camilla's shoulder. "Can I explain the quest, now?"

We all nodded.

"There is a mirror that I desire. It is dear to my family; an heirloom, really. It is called the Avidity Glass." Draeci explained, flipping her long, grey ponytail."The Avidity Glass shows us what we most desire. It is worth millions of Jewels, and being that we are a poor family, it is our only way to be happy with the lives we possess."

In my opinion, it just adds on to Draeci's family's greed factor. But hey, Jewels are Jewels.

"It has been stolen by the Dark Unicorn Guild, and I am not in the power to get it back." She concluded.

"We won't let you down, Dracula." Storm saluted.

I giggled. "It's Draeci."

Draeci scowled, looking me in the eye. "Get it back within a week. Good luck." She slammed the door with no further words.

As we walked away, Storm rolled his eyes. "She sure didn't seem poor. That house was bigger than the Guild Hall!" He lifted his arms to emphasize his point. I could help but giggle even more.

Camilla sighed. "I know. I have to agree she seemed a little strange, but we have to do this job. We've already accepted it; it would be stupid to quit now." I had to agree with her.

"Fine," Storm said, irritated. "But if Draeci is sending us on one of those loophole quests my father has talked about," He cracked his knuckles, sending small shards of ice flying from his fingers. "She's got another thing coming."

I smiled. "Storm, I think this will be fun!"

"Good optimism!" He grinned.

I blushed. "Time to go to the Dark Unicorn Guild!"
