I can't see anything. I feel around in the darkness, and I feel a face. "Ow!"
"Sorry, Storm!" I fumble around awkwardly.
The golden glow grows brighter. I see Hudson's face in the darkness, along with a new one: A woman with dark blue lips and hair, who is flying around like a wisp of nothingness in the dark.
"I hope you don't mind if I evened up our match." Hudson spoke. The woman gave me a seductive glare, and disappeared in the faint light. It was as if she wasn't human, but made out of smoke.
"Don't worry, Lamya is just a junior wizard." He stepped forward, Lamya floating like a cloud between him and our trio. I turned to my right, where Camilla was staring at Hudson with a shocked look. She was frozen, not moving at all, her chest barely even rising with her breath.
Storm poked at her arm. "Millie?"
She sighed, eyes still locked on Hudson. "Don't." She inhaled. "Call me that." Her voice was barely a whisper.
We needed to focus!
Storm pounded his fist in his hand. "Ice make... sword!" He held a long, lean ice sword in his grip, trying to slice at Lamya.
"It's no use! She's a shadow wizard!" I shouted at him. I felt useless, not having any magic at my control. I felt tears welling in my eyes. "I'm so sorry I can't help you!"
Storm was fighting alone. Camilla was till frozen in shock, and I as useless as I baby in a battle like this. Storm aimed for Hudson's head. "Nashi, you need to do something! I can't beat these two on my own, and Camilla isn't helping!"
I sighed, nervous. Just focus, I thought. Focus. I have to have some sort of power in there...
I remember what my father had always used to cast spells. "Fire dragon, roar!"
Nothing.
"Uh.. wait, I got this." I mumbled. My mother was a Celestial Wizard. My father, a Fire Dragon Slayer.
I have an idea.
"Celestial Dragon, roar!"
...
Stars shot in a burst out in front of me, raining over the enemy. I felt tons of eyes on me: Storm's, Camilla's, Hudson's, Lamya's, and everyone else in the Guild Hall. Hudson and Lamya flew back off their feet, landing against the wall. I smiled.
Storm walked over to me, his ice sword now long melted. "Well, it looks like you've found your power." He smiled, his eyes wide in both excitement and shock.
Hudson was on the floor now, the hood of his cloak no longer covering his face. His face is looks like something I've never seen before: Unruly blue hair, hazel eyes and some strange, intricate tattoo under his left eye. Camilla was still staring at him with a strange look, her eyes teary.
We went over to her. Storm squeezed her hand. "Millie? You okay in there?"
She didn't move.
I looked over at Hudson, who was giving the same look at Camilla. Their eyes were even the same: a musky brown hazel. Their faces were even alike, apart from the fact that they were different genders.
"What's going on between them?" I whispered to Storm. He shrugged.
"I don't know. But clearly they don't have the Avidity Glass..."
Hudson got up, and walked over to Camilla, face-to-face. "Why do you seem so familiar.." He whispered.
Camilla narrowed her eyes. "I would say the same thing to you..."
"Who are you, girl?" Hudson asked.
"My name is Camilla Scarlet." Camilla looked him right in the eye. It was as if sparks were crackling between the two of them.
Hudson stepped back, gasping. Then he looked closer, examining Camilla's face. "Camilla Scarlet?" His breathing was fast and shallow, as if he had just been punched in the gut.
"Erza..."
