Leonora's POV
"Hmm... I suppose you would make a nice test subject to my machine," Hunter said pointing at Ranie.
I saw Ranie shiver with fear. She loosened her grip and held my hand tight.
"N-no!" Marie said fiercely. "I'll take her place."
"Ooo! Someone's being protective!" Hunter mocked.
I growled at Hunter.
"No, it is my destiny, I'll do it," Ranie willingly said.
"Are you sure? You'll loose your powers forever!" I warned.
The fox willingly stepped forward and said to Hunter "I will do it."
"Well well well, looks who's stepping up for her best friends," Hunter said as made an exit through the flaming cage and pulled Ranie out.
Then he shut the exit.
"FINALLY!" Hunter said. "I CAN HAVE RANIE'S POWERS!"
He shoved the former into the small glass room of the machine and quickly locked the door with a golden key.
Then Hunter ran over to that lever and the machine started to work.
Hunter started to do an evil laugh as the machine made a whizzing sound.
"I've always wanted to do this," he said.
From the cage, I can see magical particles coming from the fox and through the pipes. I saw Ranie's eyes started to droop as she fell to the ground.
"That's what you get for messing with me puny animal!" Hunter mocked Ranie.
Suddenly, the former's animalistic characteristics slowly disappeared and disintegrated into the pipes.
After that, the machine stopped whizzing.
"HAH! I have Ranie's powers now LIKE OMG!" Hunter squealed.
He ran over to the black box and flicked the lever once more and the chemistry stuff started to do something.
The weird liquids in the bottles began to bubble and smoke.
At the end of it all came out one drop of weird liquid from a faucet.
The droplet fell into a small test tube as Hunter got an injection.
He placed that small droplet into the injection and injected himself.
"HAHA! I AM POWERFUL THAT ALL OF YOU PUNY CHILDREN!" he said pointing at us all.
Hunter magically opened both the glass door and the cage door with his mind powers and let Ranie out.
Then he wildly jostled her back inside the prison.
"Y-you will n-never get away w-with this..!" Ranie said weakly.
"HAH! You think you could stop me? With your powers? Well.. Well see about that!" Hunter snarled.
After all that, he disappeared into the shadows.
