Ranie's POV

"Hello kids, glad you could make it," A deep voice said.

"Hello again Robert," Marie politely said. "And who is this with you?"

"Hello!" The guard next to him said. He was also wearing shiny armour like Robert. "I am Aaron. Nice to meet you."

"Good afternoon Aaron!" Jacob said.

"Aaron is my best friend. Well, I suppose we are needed elsewhere. See you around children," Robert said, walking away with Aaron.

I looked around the room for a familiar face.

I pulled out my phone from my pocket and dialed Maxx.

"Hello?" I spoke when Maxx had picked up her phone.

"Where are you? I'm with Leonora and Alice," Maxx responded.

"Who's Alice? Never mind that. Jacob, Marie and I are already in the wake."

"We're in the forest."

"WHYYYYY?!"

Everybody who was near me looked to my direction.

"Shhh!" Jacob scolded. "Why do you have to shout?"

"That's what I felt a while ago!"

"Whatever."

"We'll meet you there in 3 minutes. We are walking as we speak," Maxx continued.

"Okay. See you," I said, putting away my phone.

"Who was that?" Marie asked.

"It was the husky."

"What did she say?"

"They are on their way here."

"Good."

Suddenly, everyone froze and became quiet.

"What's happening?" I asked, lowering my voice.

"I don't care," Jacob said.

I stepped on Jacob's foot, making him scream like a girl. Because of that, eyes came towards our direction.

"CHILDREN!" A voice boomed.

"I'M NOT A CHILD!" Jacob yelled.

"EXUSE YOU!" The voice said again.

"EXUSE ME!" Jacob responded.

"Jacob! That's Isaac! Shut up!" I said hurriedly.

"A teacher once told me," Marie interrupted. "You don't shut a person, you shut a door."

Then the doors shut.

"Wow, in such right timing," I said.

A young boy emerged from the crowd. He was wearing a fully-sleeved white tunic, covered by a fully-buttoned vest and black trousers. He also had a golden crown on his head.

"Your Highness." We chorused, bowing before Isaac.

"Remember what I told you," Isaac said. "I'm not a king yet."

"Yet," I said, straightening up.

"I'm sorry I yelled Isaac," Jacob quietly said. "My sister here put me in a bad mood."

Isaac smiled. "It's okay Jacob."

"I'm glad you eventually came, Isaac. We thought you won't bother to come," Marie said.
