Marie's POV
"COME ON! FASTER! HIYA!" Ranie shouted at her horse.
I whispered to Leonora who was just beside me "I feel so sorry for Ranie's horse..."
The lion laughed and said "Yes, and I hope it could make it in one piece."
We both laughed, loud enough to catch the fox's attention.
"What's so funny?" She asked.
"Oh... Nothing!" I said still laughing a bit.
"How dare you not tell me!" Ranie said smiling.
We all laughed as we trotted past a pond.
"I'm so excited to see Jacob! He hasn't been home in 5 days..." Ranie said. "I miss him."
"I don't know how you feel because I don't have a brother but ya..." I said.
"Sometimes I really don't like you," The fox said.
"Ouch," I replied sarcastically.
"Guys! Don't start a fight." Leonora snapped.
"Eh sure," I said quietly.
With Ranie leading, our horses galloped through the forest.
The shadows of the tall trees cast upon us as the sun started to set.
"Where are we going to sleep? In the middle of nowhere?" Ranie complained.
"Chill fox, chill," Leonora said confidently. "I know my way around the forest!"
"Hey Ranie! I thought you knew your way?" I snapped.
"Blah blah blah let's jut follow the new expert," the fox whispered to me.
Leonora lead us to a small cabin, in the middle of nowhere.
The cabin stood on a small clearing and it was made of wooden planks and logs. It had small glass windows, a brick chimney and 2 lanterns outside the wooden doorways. It also had green, fresh vines on it and a few flowers leading to the entrance.
"Is this yours Leonora?" I asked curiously.
"Nope. This is my great grandmother's house. She let me have it." The lion said confidently.
"Oh wow," Ranie said with a surprised face.
The lion opened the door and shoved us in.
Inside the cabin was very cozy. The floor was stone but it was very smooth and carpeted in the center.
The walls were wooden and cold but a brick fireplace stood in the middle to warm it all.
There was also one set of bunk beds in one corner and a small kitchen on the other. The kitchen had a small wooden table with 4 chairs, a sink and a stove with storage chests on one counter.
"This is nice!" Ranie said. "At least it's not in the middle of nowhere!"
I rolled my eyes at Ranie.
"Sorry it's only two bunk beds," Leonora sighed. "Two of us has to share a bed."
I pushed Ranie away from me and said "NOPE! I'm not sharing a bed with her."
"PLEEEEEEAAASE?!" Ranie said as she made puppy eyes, er... Fox eyes at me.
"Remember the last time I slept with you?" I reminded her.
Ranie said "Oh yes! It was fun! It wa-"
I cut Ranie off "Was not fun..."
"Why? I had a great sleep!" The fox smiled.
"I didn't. You stole my stuff toy and took up most of my space!" I argued.
"GUYS!" Leonora shouted. "PLEASE! For the sake of defeating Hunter PLEASE!"
"Ugh... Fine..." I said.
"YAY!" Ranie said as she hugged me tightly.
Suddenly, Leonora said "WHO'S HUNGRY?!"
"MEEEE!" Ranie said nearly trampling over me.
"RANIE! Be careful!" I said angrily.
"I'm hungry! You know me right? I'm always hungry!" The fox cheerfully said.
"Just be careful... In return I might give you a kick," I said jumping up and down.
"Whatever..." Ranie said sitting down at the table.
"Oohh!" I said. "Lasagna!"
Ranie was amused. "How did you make that so fast?" She asked.
"Remember I'm a mage!" The lion said.
I see what was happening here... Leonora magically made lasagna. One of her magical portions was that she was a mage, she could make almost anything from thin air.
We happily ate the surprisingly good lasagna. How does Leonora do these monstrosities? HOW?!
After we ate, Ranie rushed to the sink and washed her hands. When she came back, she sprayed water on my face.
"RANIE!" I said as I went to the sink, washed my own hands and sprayed her on the face as well.
We were both laughing so hard as the water fight continued. We had to go back and forth from the sink to continue.
Suddenly, a lot of water was squirted on my back. I stopped to look that Leonora was holding a water gun.
"GUYS! ITS 9:10! HOW ARE YOU SO AWAKE AT THIS HOUR?!" She roared.
"Ya Ranie!" I said putting my hands on my waists.
"Ehehehe...," The fox slowly said.
"Can we just go to bed now?" The lion asked.
"I go for the bottom bed!" Ranie yelled as she plummeted into a pillow.
"Fine...," I said.
I forgot... We were sharing beds. Well, as long that we keep Isaac's promise, I should be fine.
"Goodnight!" Leonora said quietly.
"Sleep tight!" Ranie said, closing her eyes.
"Nighty night!" I responded as I drifted off to sleep.
