Isaac's POV

In a few moments, the shackle began to show tiny cracks on its surface.

I closed my eyes and concentrated on canceling Hunter's chains which are probably cursed.

"Everything is going to be okay...," I thought.

Well guess what? I thought wrong. In my mind, I found myself standing under a tree during nighttime. Everything seemed to be balanced between good and evil.

Suddenly, I heard voices from behind. I spun around and hid against the bark of the tree to see two very young, familiar men who were talking to each other.

These two were Hunter and Simon.

"Let me do it!" Hunter pleaded.

"I think you, yourself, has caused more evil than I've done good," Simon responded.

"What a killjoy...," Hunter sighed. "It's gonna be fun ya know."

"Yes but it is my turn to take over, not you."

"Good deeds suck."

"Just give her one last shot. Maybe, she might accept."

Hunter paused for a moment.

"Okay FINE! Do your good actions or whatever...," Hunter finally said.

"Yay! And if we convince her enough, she might accept the deal!"

"I have a feeling we are giving too much chances to her."

"Nah it's okay, we'll pressure her some more."

Both Simon and Hunter laughed until  the world slowly faded and faded. Then everything went pitched black.

(Time skip)

I slowly opened my eyes to see that I was home, in the castle of course.

I was on my bed, still in the same clothes ever since I left for father's wake.

The wake...

Memories flashed through my eyes. That day he took me horseback riding, that day he taught me how to sword fight, that day he died.

Sigh.

I got up from my bed and opened the closet to get new clothes. I chose the ones that were not extravagant for once: a white tunic, gray trousers and black shoes.

I went into the bathroom, freshened up, got changed and exited my room. I felt a heavy burden inside my heart and on my head. On my head?

I touched the top of my head and felt that my crown was still there. No scratches, no bent gold, no jewels out of place. It was completely the same.

I took if off and placed it on my bed. I grabbed my jacket, slipped it on and exited my room.

I intended to go out into the village alone, but a guard wanted to accompany me. Precisely, he was Robert.

"It's okay Robert, I could manage," I said.

"But your Highness, it's nighttime. What if Hunter tries to kidnap you?"

"Don't worry about me. I'll be completely fine."

"Are you sure?" Robert clutched the lever for the gate.

"I'll be okay, trust me."

The guard pulled down the lever and the gates opened. I thanked Robert and proceeded out into the village.
