"Aditi I think you are taking too long to choose a dress to wear" yells mom as she finds me searching for what to wear today. I often get confused about what to wear everyday. It is always a struggle between me and my clothes because they just don't pair up with me whenever I want them to. But now after selecting from like twenty minutes, I finally end up wearing white top, black overcoat and a blue ripped jeans. Yes this is one of the overcoat and jeans that Vinnie gave me yesterday.
I quickly eat my breakfast, take my lunch box, bid a goodbye to everyone and leave for the college. I check my wallet to see if have enough money to go in a taxi. Yes I have, by god's grace! I call a taxi and tell him to drive to DIT.
DIT, I had never thought in my life ever that I would be able to get into this college. It was merely a dream. Of course, how come a girl from a not-so-well family can imagine studying in such a prestigious University! And then all of a sudden I think about Vinnie as what she would do now because sitting at home for like next one year is not just her thing. She would either try for another college or maybe prepare for one whole year to clear the exam next time.
As the taxi comes nearer to DIT, I see the huge, infact very huge campus before me and of course the students carrying books in their hands walking out there. I stop the driver before DIT's main gate. I give him his fare and come out of the taxi. I can see the crowd of so many students, some are happy, maybe my seniors and some are quite nervous like me searching for their classrooms and timetable.
I enter into the college and ask a person as from where I should check my classroom number. He points his finger to the notice board and I thank him. I go near the notice board but there is so much of heavy crowd. After waiting for ten minutes, I manage to check the classroom number and quickly move out of there. I see that my class is after fifteen minutes so I ask the direction for my classroom from a person and start to go where he told me to.
"Ouchh!" I scream on top of my voice as I realize that I have dashed infront of a car while searching for my class in the ground and find that my brand new phone is all broken. Yesterday only my dad gifted and today I broke it. I bend down to pick up the broken pieces and lift my face up to see the car. It is a Black Mercedes. Classy and shiny. Seems like I dashed in front of a rich person's car!
"Can't you see while driving?" I ask the stupid person who was driving the car and is still inside it.
"Oh I am really sorry, I didn't see you. I hope you are all okay?" asks a husky voice from behind. I turn to see the person who broke my phone and stand up from the ground.
He is tall, may be six feet at least, muscular, fair and handsome with light brown mesmerizing eyes. He is wearing a blue jeans and a black leather jacket. Has iPhone in his hand, Mercedes' car key and a bouquet. May be that would be for his girlfriend.
He says "Your phone is broken. Come with me, I'll buy you a new phone."
"No thank you. It's completely fine. I'll buy a new phone by myself." I know I can't.
"I broke your phone then why will you buy? I'll give you a new phone or else if you don't want then I can give you money for my compensation" he says.
"I am saying you no, that I neither need a new phone nor any money. Then why are you asking it again and again?" I question him irritated.
"See, I know you are getting late that's why maybe you don't want to listen to me. So it's okay. I'll buy you another one after your class. I have an extra lecture of Dynamics today so I have to stay till 6:30pm but there is a gap of two hour. So we can go during that two hours gap. What do you say? Are you okay with it?" he tries to confirm.
