I am still in a shock. As if my mind is still not able to completely register the fact of my mom's presence before us, especially before me. I should have known for this possibility. I mean this is obvious that Aarya is admitted on the same floor where Vinnie is, so I should have left talking to them before my mother's arrival. I should have returned to the place where Vinnie's parents were standing. But see! I am still here.
Now she would start asking questions like 'What are you doing with these people?' , 'Who are they?' , 'Did you even bother to meet Vinnie?' and so on.
I quickly wipe my stupid thoughts off my mind and stand up by giving eye contact with my mom. She too is looking at me continuously with all her anger. As I open my mouth to answer her even before she questions, Simran cuts me and says to my mom.
"Hey Mrs. Veena!" exclaims Simran.
How does she know my mother's name?
"Hello Simran. What are you doing here?" asks my mom. She too knows her.
What is happening?
"Aarya has met with an accident. She is admitted in this hospital" answers Simran.
"Oh my god! Is she okay? Did you guys call to inform her parents?" questions my mom in a caring tone.
"Yeah. They will be arriving any time" she replies.
"Okay. I hope she is fine" wishes my mom.
"Yes. But why are you here?"
"Actually I came to check my neighbor. She fractured her leg today. I have to go to see her" smiles my mom to her.
"Oh okay. I hope she is okay" says Simran and smiles at her too.
My mom turns towards me and glares at me for few moments. She then quickly nods to Simran and runs towards Vinnie's room.
Great. She didn't even utter a single word regarding me. I am saved again. Now I have to tackle my mom's anger at home very badly. I hope I will manage.
"How do you know that lady?" Vaibhav asks after my mom left.
Actually I am also curious to know about how Simran knows my mom or how my mom knows Simran!
"Come on Vaibhav. Forgot the day when Aarya called us for a house party few months back? She was the one who made that delicious cake and chocolates" she says.
"Who remembers such people dude? I remember the cake and chocolates but not this lady" chuckles Daksh. Vaibhav nods with Daksh's statement.
"Okay Alright" Simran rolls her eyes and adds "she is Aarya's housekeeper"
Whaat?! Did she just say that my mom works as a housekeeper at Aarya's place? Why in the world such crap happens with me only? That girl doesn't like me at all and my mom is her housekeeper. This is so shameful for me to digest the fact.
"So? Who cares about housekeepers!" chuckles Vaibhav.
"Exactly. What do WE need to do with it!" states Daksh loudly. He is looking quite frustrated. But why?
These guys so much hate the people who don't have same status like them. This is not good. I can definitely say that they wouldn't be considering poor people like me in their list of respect.
"Chill Daksh. That's okay" I say by controlling my anger to these people. I really hate the fact that they consider people like us, so unimportant in their life. But I really can't stand for myself at present. I am so guilty right now but I am helpless too.
