Chapter 25: Never Ending Problems

I think these many fruits will be enough with this money. Mom told me to strictly buy Apples as my father needs to have them in his breakfast every morning. Why she sent me? Because today is Sunday and my college is off. So I guess half a dozen of apples and bananas, and one kilogram of Oranges will be sufficient for this whole week.

I also buy a loaf of bread and a dozen eggs. I walk to the cashier and pay him the money and receive the bill. I put everything in the basket which I have brought with me and exit from here.

The store is just a ten minutes walk from my home so I can walk back to my place without taking a bus or a taxi. Within ten minutes, I reach my place and begin to open the main gate of my building when my eyes land on the black Mercedes standing opposite the main gate.

I squint my eyes when I see that it is Daksh's car and he is sitting inside it. Oh no! What the hell is he doing here? Why did he come?

My parents and Aarav are there inside my house. What if someone will see? My mom knows everything and if she will see him waiting here she will surely think that I have yet not broken up with him.

I think if I'll ignore him then he will definitely come out of his car and will start following me. It will be better if I go towards him to tell him to leave. I start walking towards his car and as he sees me approaching, he walks out of his car.

As I begin to open my mouth to tell him to leave, he brings his right hand in front of me and offers me a bouquet of white orchids. I love white orchids! My eyes widen in surprise. I was seriously not expecting this today and that too with him.

And then my expressions change. I cannot accept these flowers. I look upon him to refuse when he says "Aditi please don't say no. I know you love Orchids". I look at those pretty orchids and sigh, thinking what is the fault of these flowers?

I take them from him because I know if I will refuse then he will force me to take them and this will start arguments and it will take a lot of time. I cannot stand outside my building talking or arguing with him for so long.

"Why did you come here?" I ask him with frustration. I already told him that I cannot be in a relationship with him but still he is here.

He smiles and says "To see you. To give you these flowers. Thank you for accepting". He then begins to stare into my eyes. I immediately remove my eyes off him.

"Okay. Now just leave" I tell him without looking into his eyes.

"Aditi, can we talk please?" he asks.

"No way Daksh. Please go. I don't want to get started again" I reply. I swear even if I want to, I cannot talk to him especially not outside my building.

"Aditiiiii..." calls out someone whose voice is familiar to me. I quickly turn around when I find Mrs. Arora waving her hand from the window of her home on fourth floor.

Oh no! She saw me talking to Daksh here. Plus, I have orchids also which he has given me. I am so dead now. She will definitely tell this to Vinnie who has a big crush on Daksh. She had already once seen me with him before, when I had returned from Goa and he along with Vaibhav and Shikha had came to drop me here.

"...we are waiting for you. You are coming, right?" she asks loudly so that I can hear her. I nod to her words and she gives a smile. She then returns back to her room. Thank God she didn't say anything clear enough for Daksh to understand. He just would be thinking that she is a lady who is calling me to come up. He doesn't know why she is calling me but I know. Obviously for house cleaning.

I then turn to Daksh and tell him "I have to go now. Bye!".

He smiles and says "Bye Aditi".

"And please don't come here. I am telling you for the last time" I order him.
