"These beaches are so calm. I just don't want to leave this place" I say, as I and Daksh sit on the sand and appreciate the beauty of Arabian sea that is straight in front of us.
"True" says Daksh and keeps his left arm on my left shoulder. He is sitting to my right.
I see people doing all sorts of fun in the water. Some of them are splashing water at each other and at the corner of my eye, I see few children making castles out of sand. Families are here for beach fun and for picnicking too.
"Aditi, would you like to try out some water sports?" suggests Daksh cheerfully. At times, I am really scared of water. I don't even know how to swim. What if I drown? I will die! No, I can't go for water sports at all. I guess I am happy sitting here and enjoying the scenic beauty of this place.
"Daksh.." I say when he cut me in the start. He didn't even let me complete my sentence.
"No excuses. You are coming with me" he says and holds my hand to lift me up. We then run to the water scooter counter to borrow one. At the most, two people can sit on the scooter.
He pays for the ride and the person provides us two orange coloured life jackets. We wear it and proceed further towards the place where this sport is taking place.
"You are going to sit at the front.." says Daksh and continues "..I will sit behind you"
"Are you kidding? I don't know how to ride" I scream at my defense.
"I am there no?" he ensures with confidence and I agree to him.
We tread towards the scooter and make ourselves get seated. I sit at the front, holding the steers and Daksh sits behind me. I am really scared.
We hear instructions from the expert as he starts the engine. I then accelerate the scooter and in less than few minutes, I and Daksh were riding through the sea. Though I am finding it difficult to turn, Daksh is helping me out by putting his hand on the steers from behind me. I am feeling so good. Wohoo!
We take numerous turns as the vehicle speeds up. And then we see the person who is at the beach signaling us to return because the time is over. They had given us forty minutes time for the ride which actually felt like seconds.
I turn the vehicle, of course with Daksh's help, towards the beach in order to return it to them. I stop the scooter and get down from it. After that, we return the life jackets.
"I didn't want this to get over so early" I say sadly as I look up to face Daksh.
"Do you want to go one more time?" he asks.
"Noo. That's okay" I reply. I wanted to go but at the same time, I don't want to try the same water sport again and again.
I observe that my sundress has completely become wet and Daksh's pants also. If I knew that we were going for water sports, I wouldn't have worn this.
"I am hungry. Let's go for lunch" says Daksh. I see the time, its 12:30pm now.
"Look at me. I am all wet. I want to change" I reply as an excuse to avoid going for lunch now.
"All right. Let's go and change our clothes first" he says and we decide to go. Our hotel is just ten minutes walk from this beach.
