I sit on the dining table to finish my breakfast as fast as I can because it's already late for my college. Aarav also takes a chair and sits in front of me. Ever since I have came home from Goa, I have not had a good talk with him. Already there are numerous problems going on in my life, I hardly get time to devote myself to the family.
"Did you get your waiter's job back in the hotel?" I ask in whispering tone. Mom is in the kitchen and I don't want her to hear this because Aarav has not yet informed this to her. She will be tensed if she will know this.
He sighs and says "No. I am still doing my mechanic's job in the garage. But I am finding a new job".
"Mom doesn't know, does she?"
"Shhh..." he sushes me and says "...Don't speak loudly. She doesn't know anything and you please don't tell her, okay?"
"Of course not. I hope you find a job soon" I say and he nods.
"So how is your college going?" he asks.
I look above from my plate at him and say "G-Good" with a smile. Nothing is good in my life, yet I have to pretend that I am so happy. "Nice" he says and gets up from the table. I must say that he finishes his food like an express train.
Mom comes out from the kitchen and places a glass of freshly prepared orange juice on the table. She says "I am going for the work today. How long will I sit inside the house? I am already bored".
"Mom, you are still not fine completely. You have a back pain and you need to take rest" I tell her.
"It's been like two weeks since I am home. Because I am totally fine, I will be going for work and that's it!" she states. She is never going to listen to anyone no matter what.
"Who can stop you?" I ask while shrugging and roll my eyes. She smiles at me and goes back inside the kitchen after collecting Aarav's plates.
I look down at my food concluding that there's still like more than half of chapati left and then my watch when I find that my bus is arriving in just two minutes. I quickly get up from my place to wipe my mouth because I am done with the breakfast.
I go inside my room to take my bag and scream "Mom I am leaving. Byee!!" and slam the door. She would have shouted like "Finish your breakfast first" or "Take your lunch box" but I am in such a hurry that I didn't wait to listen to those words.
I quickly go to the bus stop and catch my bus. Thank God! I take a seat and plug my earphones to my ears and listen to my favourite songs. I look out of the window and several thoughts start running inside my mind along with the music which is playing.
All the beautiful memories I had made in the Goa's trip and before that with Daksh start flashing up inside my mind. All the time we spent together felt like a daydream.
I open my phone's picture gallery to view those amazing pictures. How happy we both are looking in the pictures, totally unaware of the upcoming trouble we were going to suffer. It's amazing how everything change with just one incident which shouldn't have ever happened.
This is all my fault. I wish I would have informed this to him. But even I was helpless. I thought that I will tell him everything of that night but I was just waiting for the right time. I never thought this incident would take a totally different turn.
I truly understand Daksh's anger on this issue and it is worth it. If I would have been in his place, I too might have behaved the same way. Those pictures are enough to depict a fake story line. But at least I would have given him a chance to explain, which he didn't give to me.
Tears start filling inside my eyes and I quickly rub it off. I don't want to look like an idiot who is crying in front of bunch of people while sitting in a bus. I turn my phone off and unplug the earphones to keep them inside my bag when I see that my college has come.
