Chapter 14: Love Confession

"This was all planned by Aarya" I reply as Shikha begins her interrogation session about what happened with me and Daksh.

It took me about twenty minutes to explain to her about what happened yesterday. And the reason behind me not getting in contact with her for about four hours.

"Really? What was her intention?" she asks.

"May be she wanted me to get caught by someone after seeing me being locked inside a hall with a boy. You can assume the result" I answer.

"Yeah totally. Anyone can misunderstand" states Shikha by criss-crossing her arms.

"Exactly. Thank God Daksh handled the situation. If he wouldn't have been there, the watchman would have complained about us to the Principal" I say by taking a deep breath.

"What did he do?" she asks giving a little smirk. I never understand why she does this whenever I take Daksh's name.

"By telling him that if he will complain about us then he will have to lose his job. His father is the trustee of the college as well, you know. So he did kind of blackmailing" I say whispering at the end.

"Oh yes! I know this. I must say Daksh's mind works like a genius when it comes to such situations, isn't?" says Shikha in a happy tone.

"True" I reply by nodding to her words.

"Aarya's defeated face would have been worth of a watch, right?" chuckles Shikha and I nod to her laughingly.

After finishing our food in the canteen, I stand up from the chair to go for the class when Shikha forces me to sit down.

"What?" I ask surprisingly.

"We still have fifteen minutes. I want to talk to you about something" she tells.

"About what?" I ask by not wasting a single second.

"Aditi, don't you think something can happen between you and Daksh?" she confirms after few minutes of pause.

With a confused expression, I ask "What do you mean?"

Her expressions change from an eager face to a straight one. I am seriously not understanding what Shikha is up to now. What did she actually mean by saying that?

"Feelings" she says excitedly.

"What kind of feelings?" I ask her straight away.

By rolling her eyes she says "You are not understanding girl. I think Daksh likes you"

Did I hear anything wrong or did she actually say that Daksh likes me? How can she even say that? Is she even sure about what she is saying?

"Whaat! Are you out of your mind?" I ask. My voice being louder than before.

"I am not. The signs clearly show that he has feelings for you. But the problem is that you are not able to see any" says Shikha frustratedly.

"Can you explain what exactly you are trying to say?" I, kind of, order her. She is actually irritating me by circulating the words and not coming to the point.

"See, first time I noticed this when he approached you for a dance step. But I thought he must be flirting. Then he took you out for a lunch date..." she says when I cut her midway.

"Let me correct you Shikha, that lunch was not a date" I say.

"Okay alright.." she says by accepting her mistake and continues ".. you told me that he had come to return your phone one day. He don't usually do that for girls. And he has given you lifts many a times, that he doesn't do to other girls. Also we cannot ignore his compliments for you every other day. In the New Year Party, he said that Aarya feels jealous whenever she sees you with him. This is because she knows Daksh has feelings for you. These things show that he feels something for you" she finishes.
