Imagine: telling Matt you won't be home for Christmas.
Prompt: 22- "But it's Christmas...you're supposed to be here with me."
Second person pov:
You had been visiting family for Christmas. Your boyfriend Matt was supposed to go with you, but he had to help with the supernatural crisis in Mystic Falls.
And so, you were taking a plane back there from your hometown.
You had been waiting for your flight for over an hour now, and you grew impatient.
"Flight number___ has been delayed until further notice, due to weather." The loud voice spoke.
Several groans were heard, including yours.
"You've got to be kidding me." You muttered.
"I'm not going to be home for Christmas." You sighed and put your head in your hands.
You knew you had to call your boyfriend.
The phone rang once before you heard the familiar voice.
"Hey babe!" Matt greeted you happily.
"Hi baby." You greeted sadly.
"What's wrong?" Matt asked through the phone.
"My flight....has been delayed." You sighed.
"What?" Matt spoke, surprised and angry.
"Yeah. I'm so sorry, Matty." You leaned your head on your open palm.
"But it's Christmas...you're supposed to be here with me." Matt sighed, clearly upset.
"I know. There's nothing I can do." You whispered.
"Well. It's not your fault. You'll get here as soon as you can."
"I will...I love you, Matt." You smiled into the phone.
"I love you too." He replied.
"Bye babe."
"Bye baby."
You hung up the phone and smiled lightly.
You say in silence for a few minutes.
"Flight number ___ now boarding." The voice spoke.
"A Christmas miracle." You whispered as you got up to board your flight.
