Imagine: having a nightmare and Elijah comforting you.
Prompt: 14 Elijah "Hey, I'm with you, okay? Always."
Second person pov:
"You monster!" The man screamed in Elijah's face.
Elijah was strapped to a chair with vervain ropes, and you were tied to a chair as well, in front of him. Only a few feet separated you two. The captor paced around you both, like a predator does its prey.
"You killed her!! She's gone now!!" The man screamed again, spittle flying past his lips as he raised his voice.
"I had to!" Elijah yelled back in defense, struggling against the ropes, eyes apologetic, yet filed with anger.
"You had to?! You had to rip out my sister's heart?! You had to!" The light haired man exclaimed, venom dripping from his tone.
"Yes. I had to." Elijah whispered in reply, his eyes not meeting the captor's.
"Well then," the man began to speak.
"I guess I have to as well." The captor finished his sentence, before plunging his hand into Elijah's chest, before pulling out his heart.
"NO!!" You screamed, struggling against your restraints. Many emotions flooded you as you continued to scream.
"Y/N!" Elijah's voice pulled you out of your nightmare.
You sat up, body shaking vigorously, chest rising and falling rapidly as you attempted to catch your breath.
"Elijah." You whispered as he wrapped his arms around you and rubbed a hand up and down your arm, comforting you.
"What happened, love? You were screaming in your sleep." He asked, concern in his tone.
"I h-had a nightmare. Y-you died, I couldn't do anything to h-help. A-and I didn't know what was going on, I tried to help, but I couldn't-"
"Shhh." Elijah cut off your ramble and pressed a kiss to your forehead.
"I didn't have you with me anymore.." Your voice trembled as the thought creeped its way back into your head.
"Hey, I'm with you, okay? Always." Elijah spoke softly, smoothing your hair with his hand as you shook a bit in his grasp.
You nodded and laid closer in the embrace, calming down, and eventually falling asleep in his arms.
