Second Person Pov:
Work was so tiring. You had been working late, trying to get more work done.
You tiredly made your way up the stairs that led to your front door, and you took out your keys to unlock the door.

As you walked into your shared house, you shut the door behind you and leaned against it, letting out a long, tired sigh.
Then you began to remove your heels from your aching feet, and shrug off your tan overcoat, as well as setting down your purse. Carelessly, you tossed your keys onto the coffee table, before pulling out on of the chairs--that you had picked out yourself for the house years earlier.

"Oh look. You're home," A familiar voice spoke from behind you, startling you, causing your body to jolt.

"And it's," Matt paused to look at the clock on the cherry red wall.

"Only 1:30 am." Matt spoke sarcastically before walking over to the small square table and pulling out a seat for himself.

"Matt. What's wrong?" You sighed tiredly, rubbing your tired eyes.

"I think we need to talk." Matts words instantly caught your attention, your eyes snapping open at the seriousness in his voice.

"Yeah, of course. What do we need to talk about, Matt?" You asked, now fully awake and alert.

"You've been coming home late all week. And it's always 'work' when I ask where you've been." Matt sighed heavily before continuing.

"Y/n, are you cheating?"

His words caught you off guard, and you honestly felt offended that he'd even ask you that.

"Um, excuse me. I have been at work all week when you've asked." You snapped, your fatigue adding to your frustration.

"And now you're getting defensive! What does that show?" Matt countered, raising his voice.

"Don't you raise your voice at me, Donavan." You spoke in a frustrated yet stern gone.

"I'm getting defensive because you're accusing me of cheating, when I've actually been at work!" You began to yell, not caring about the hypocrisy there.

"I've been coming home late, working my ass off in the office to impress my boss, trying my absolute best to get the promotion I've been dying to get for weeks now!" You defended, anger rising in you.

"Well you can't blame me for assuming so! It really seemed like something was going on, Y/n." Matt paced the room as he spoke.

"Do you not trust me?" You asked, your arms crossed across your chest.

"Y/n, I'm not saying th-"

"Well clearly you don't, since that's the first thing that comes to mind when I come home late, even if I tell you where I am!" You fired back, running a hand through you h/c locks.

"Look, if there's no trust in this relationship, what are we doing here?" You sighed at the end of your rant.

When Matt didn't reply after a few moments of waiting, you let out another small sigh.

You then grabbed your keys from the table, your purse and walked to the door. As you started putting on your shoes, Matt called out.

"Y/n, where are you going?" He asked, his voice cracking a bit, looking as if he was going to cry.

"You don't trust me Matt. I told you the truth, and if you don't trust me, this relationship isn't healthy." You spoke calmly, feeling tired and drained from the argument.

Suddenly, Matt's hands found your waist and gently pushed you against the wall. Slowly, he leaned in and placed his lips to yours.
You didn't pull away, you kissed back. Melting into the kiss you forgot all about the fight.

"Please, don't leave." Matt whispered, resting his forehead against yours once you both pulled back from the kiss.

"Matt," you began to say, but he continued.

"Y/n, I trust you." He expressed to you.

"I trust you. I just don't want to lose you. You're all I have. You're all I want and need. I couldn't lose you too." He whispered, his face still right in front of yours.

"Thank you. I'm glad you trust me." You lips curved into a small smile.

He looked at your lips once more, and you nodded. Once you gave him the okay he kissed you passionately. The kiss was soft, and loving. Once you pulled back, he spoke once more.

"Do you forgive me, Y/n?"

"Of course, Matt." You gave him a reassuring smile as he let out a sigh of relief.

"But, don't accuse me of cheating every time work runs late." You told him, and he nodded in agreement.

"I won't do that again, promise."

"I love you, Y/n."

"And I love you, Matt."
