"Kenneth?" I confusingly asked as I managed to drag myself from his hug.
"I can't believe I'll see you again." He hugged me again but I stopped him.
"Woah, easy there." I walked to my seat on the dining table.
Kian must've sensed the awkward air since I left Kenneth standing there so he announced, "Okay, it was nice to see you again, Mr. and Mrs. San Jose!" And he smiled.
"Wow, you're a really big girl now, Jodi." Mrs. San Jose told me and I just smiled.
I kept smiling every time they compliment me 'cause I really don't know what to feel or reply to them. And heck, Kenneth's quiet and he kept staring at me the whole time!
"Kian, how's YouTube?" Mr. San Jose asked.
"Well it was fun. I love travelling and making viewers happy." I'm proud for Kian and the o2l guys. They're so famous now. And they have upcoming tours in the future.
"How about you, Jodi? Any plans here in LA?" Mrs. San Jose asked.
"I don't know yet. But like Kian, I'm thinking of joining YouTube but these days, I don't think I want to anymore." I said slicing my steak. "I think I'll continue dancing and playing my drums." I added.
"Well that's great, honey." Dad smiled.
"I've seen you dance before. And I've watched you in the EllenTube! You must be really happy, huh?" Mrs. San Jose told me. "You must continue dancing."
"Oh, maybe you can go with Kenneth in IDA?" Mr. San Jose asked.
"That's a good suggestion, dad." Kenneth smiled.
"Uhm, I don't know. I wanna think about what to do first." Okay, seriously, that's a lame excuse. I just don't wanna be with Kenneth. Hell no.
And with that, Kenneth frowned.
Soon, the San Jose's thanked my parents and waved us good bye.
Kenneth smiled at me though, I just nodded. Tss.
At the living room, mom, dad, and Kian are talking about his upcoming tour and that he'll be leaving for a couple of weeks.
"You guys can spend your night tomorrow here before your flight so that you won't get tired that much." Dad suggested.
"Thanks dad." He said.
"Jodi Lawley. I didn't like the way you treated Kenneth at the dinner a while ago." As soon as I sat on the couch, mom eyed me.
"What? I just didn't know how to act around him anymore." No. Make that: What? He's so annoying. Who hugs a girl you just met again for a long time? Yeah, that's it.
"You should've just smiled or just told him politely." She said.
"Ugh." I just rolled my eyes.
"Don't roll your eyes on your mother, Joanna." She shot me.
I raised my hands in defeat and just scrolled through my phone.
I checked my Twitter and Instagram. And it showed:
