It's been days since Jodi underwent surgery. And thank God, she's okay. But she's not yet waking up though. The doctor said it will still take recovery time before she gets fully awake.

Also, I informed the squad about what happened to Jodi and by now, they're on their way here for a visit.

I was fixing my stuff and my clothes last night for I'm asking Kian a favor to take it to the laundry.

I cleaned the table and chairs, and prepared it before the squad arrives. They told me they haven't ate breakfast yet and they're bringing food.

"Hey! Hey! Hey!" Being always the loud and bubbly one, I know it is Sean.

"What's up, man?" Gabe and I and Sean bro hugged.

"I miss you homies." I bro hugged them tighter. And then all of us laughed and backed away.

"No homo!" We all raised our hands up and chorused.

"Hush, we're in a hospital." Tati told us.

"Anyway, how is Jodi doing, Kenneth?" Bailey asked me as Sean stood beside her.

"She's fine. The doctor said that her recovery will take time but she's doing great." I explained.

We became silent for a while 'cause they're busy taking the food out, setting it on the table, and preparing to eat.

"How's the dance class?" I asked from nowhere.

"Oh, it was amazing. Chris Brown dropped by two days ago." I frowned at Tati's information. I miss dancing but I just can't leave Jodi like this and especially, in this situation.

"Did you tell Matt why Joanna and I aren't able to show up?" I asked them

"Yeah. He said he understands. Abd he wanted to tell you to be strong... for Jodi." I looked at Jodi as Sean finished his sentence.

"You know Ken, when she wakes up, try going back and make things right with her. " Gabe told me.

"I know that, and I know what I'm doing." I told them. "I love her, but she hurt me too much." I said and ate along with them.

"But she's the one making things right now, right?" Bailey asked.

"Yeah, but I don't know. Time will tell." I cooly told her. "But for now, I will still avoid her, this one felt too much pain." I chuckled and pointed at my heart. "It's funny how one person is crushed into bits and pieces, yet you still see nothing but beauty in their transparent soul." I added and glanced at Jodi.

They just shook their heads and teased me at my cheesiness.

Yeah, yeah. Cheesy. But it's true.

"Heh, will support and respect your decision." Sean side hugged me.

"Yeah, all of us will." Tati added.

"Group hug!" Gabe threw his arms in the air and clung to everyone.

We were interrupted when we heard a slight and quiet gasp.

I turned around and it was Jodi. She explored her eyes and approached her.

"Are you okay?" I asked her, trying to sound emotionless.

"Where am I?" She asked, huskily. Dayum, I missed that voice.

"In the hospital, dumbo." I muttered as Bailey nudged and pushed me away.

You can't blame me. I still feel a little grudge against her.
