Tylie Evans.
"Babe I promise I'll be on time." I said, for the umpteenth time."Okay, see you later. Love you." He said through the phone.
"Love you too." I lied.
I love him with all that's in me, but I'm not in love with him. And to be fair I don't think I can ever fall in love again.
Life is great. I dropped my first album in December of 2015, and I was an overnight success. I've do modelling on the side, and also have my own clothing line. I'm now working on some singles for my third album and I'm extremely excited.
His career blew up. Everyone in the entire world knows his name. I was known as his ex, until I made my name. He was truly amazing in every way, but that ship sailed a long time ago. We're over.
I have my fiancé now, and he has his fiancé too. We're moving on from the past, and looking into the future.
I've ran into him a couple of times, but I could never acknowledged him- it would be too painful. It's best to leave the past in the past.
I need to focus on my future. Aubrey Drake Graham.
I met him at the Grammy's in 2016 and I instantly felt a connection with him. A few months later and some drunken sex, we were finally official. He proposed to me two weeks ago, on my birthdays eve. I'm happy about my engagement, but there is something deep down which is preventing me from the love I desire.
I want to fall in love with him, yet I won't allow myself too, and I can't.
Breaking me out of my thoughts, My mum walked into my office, with a sour look on her face. She took a seat, and took in a large breath.
"I tried to persuade them, but it didn't work. It's out of my hands." She stressed, pulling at her short locks.
"What is out of your hands?" I questioned, confused.
"I'm sorry, Ty. I really am. The label said that you have to do an album, a collaboration, with a certain someone." She apprehensively said.
"Who? Because if it's that Taylor Swift bitch-" I started to cuss.
"No, it's not Taylor. It's Tyga." She said.
It's as if timed stopped after she said that. I couldn't even look at him, let alone work with him.
"No! There is no way! What are the consequences if I don't do it?" I asked, hoping for a light punishment.
"You will get dropped from the label. I tried to negotiate to the best of my ability, but they wouldn't see. The upside is, if you do it, it will bring in Millions of dollars." She said, trying to balance the scales.
I had no power in this situation, so I guess I'll have to deal with it in an adult manner. I am 20 now.
"When will I start working with him?" I said, shocked at my own words.
"Today, only if you're ready though." My mum said.
"Well, tell him to meet me in studio six, in an hour." I said.
••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••
I walked in, scared at what I might see. I was fifteen minutes late, so I had no time to wonder about.
He is sitting on the couch, on his phone, dressed in last kings attire from head to toe. He looked healthy, and well looked after. He looks happy.
"Hey Ty." I said, standing directly above him.
I'm trying to keep my cool, but I think I'm going to freak out any minute.
He instantly jumped to his feet.
"Tylie, good to see you." He said, pulling me into a hug.
His arms felt homely and safe. As if it was nurturing, and protecting.
"Before we work on this album, I think we need to talk. We have some unresolved issues that we need to squash, before we work together." He said, taking a seat.
"Tyga, let's leave the past in the past. We have money to make." I moaned, taking a heavy seat beside him.
"But we ain't gonna make no money if we can't get along." He quickly replied.
I sighed in agreement, and faced him.
"Well, firstly I wanted to apologise." He spoke.
"For what?" I asked, as I was oblivious to the answer.
"I know you never cheated. I was blinded back then buy, the tabloids and rumours. I should have believed you. I'm sorry." He said sadly.
"I'm engaged." I meekly replied.
"What?" He replied.
"Don't think that because you apologised, we can get back together. I've moved on." I sassed.
"Tylie, I wanted to apologise because I honestly felt bad and indebted to you. I'm not apologising to try and get you back, I'm trying to clear my couscous, and make us friends again." He said, evidently pissed off.
"I forgive you. Now let's talk about the album." I replied, trying not to give two fucks.
"I think the album should be named last apologies. It links to last kings, and it's personal to us too." He cackled, clearly excited.
"I like it. Now, what's the theme. R'n'B, Rap, Hip-Hop, mainstream?" I said. I honestly want to do a range of genres, to make the album different and lively.
"Let's do, Mainstream for sure, Rap and Hip-Hop and some modern R'n'B, cause who wants all that old people shit?" He joked.
"Yeah, I feel you. Just so the fans know what's going on, let's post a lil summin', on the gram?" I asked, pulling my phone out.
He instantly posed in front of the camera, throwing up gang signs. I posted the photo on Instagram, with the caption:'Apologies🙏🏽, new album pending(turnnn up🖕🏼), along with a great friendship😘.'
He reposted it, using the same caption."I missed you Ty. There were times when I really needed you, but you was gone." He said, blazing a joint.
"I missed you too, more than you ca imagine. But you let me go, so I had to stand my ground. I couldn't crawl back, it would make me look weak. I waited on you, but you never came back to me." I said, taking the spliff out of his hand, and taking a long inhale of it.
"There were many times when I dialler your number, but I was never brave enough to call. I was scared of the results, I was scared that things may not go my way. And that was selfish of me, I'm sorry." He said
"I forgive you. I truly do." I said, giving T a soft kiss on his cheek.
I quickly gathered my belongings and ran to my car. I was late for dinner after all.
