hey guys!

i have some news: i got a bratayley instagram! i've been wanting one for a while, but i brought it up today with my friend leah bratayleysfanclub and she told me she would help me start one! it's been amading so far and i love being a part of the bratayley fandom! my account is @ amadingbratayleys on insta so go follow me if you want to!!!

also, if you guys have bratayley instagrams, i'll follow you as well, so comment down below if you have one!!

so i know i didn't update for a while and that's because this chapter was really hard to write.like REALLY hard. if you remember from the last time i updated, this chapter is a throw back to what happened to caleb (but in this story he survived) through annie's eyes.

i was thinking i would finish it last night but i just began crying because i missed him so much and i didn't want to write anymore because it was making me sad and i was just crying my eyes out and missing him. it got better today and i finished the chapter, but yeah... that's why i haven't updated for longer than normal.

soooo this has kinda been a long author's note! haha sorry! but yeah, so just remember THIS CHAPTER IS A THROW BACK TO WHAT HAPPENED TO CALEB THROUGH ANNIE'S EYES!

ANNIE'S P.O.V.

"Caleb, push me! I can't touch the bottom here!" I shout as I'm floating on the river in the inner tube. He's looking off into the distance. I snap my head around to see what he's looking at, it's nothing. Caleb has been spacing out a lot in the past few days. I kick the water with my foot and it hits him. He snaps out of his daze and looks at me tiredly.

"Wha- oh, right." He says as he pushes me weakly. I float about six inches, I know he can do better than that! We used to play this game all the time.

"What the heck, Caleb! Harder than that!" I shout at him. He looks at me, confused, and cocks his head to the side like he has no idea what I'm talking about. Then recognition flickers over his eyes and he takes a deep breath.

"I am! I just-" he doubles over and begins coughing.

"Are you okay?" I ask, leaning onto my belly and paddling toward him. He stops coughing and when he stands back up he looks really withered and pale. He has his hand to his chest, like it hurts. Is my brother okay?

"I think I'm getting sick or something, let's go inside. And anyway, it kinda looks like it's going to rain" He says, pulling me in toward the ladder. I look up at the sky. He's right, there are some gray clouds.

"Okay, sounds good. Let's go in." I say, he helps me onto the dock. I'm kinda concerned about him. Is he really sick? We go inside to find Hayley practicing gymnastics and Mom vlogging. She's trying to do her press handstand, but hasn't totally mastered it yet.

"Hey Annie, hey Caleb, in so soon?" She asks.

"Yeah, it was looking kinda stormy," says Caleb.

"Mhmm," I say. "Can I join you guys?"

"Sure Annie, Caleb wanna help?" Mommy asks.

"No, actually I feel really tired right now. I think I'm gonna take a nap before dinner." He says, yawning.

"Okay Bubs, dinner will be in about a half an hour." Says Mommy, smiling.

"Kay," says Caleb and I hear him coughing again as he goes downstairs to his room. We continue doing gymnastics until Daddy comes home. He's home a little late, I'm getting hungry.
