I woke up with a soft knock on my door. I was still inside the tangled mesh in my blanket and I groaned upon hearing the sound of my grandma's voice on the door.
"Dear, are you still asleep?" she asked softly.
I drowsily looked at my desk clock and my eyes almost pop out of its socket when I realized I was way past my body alarm. How did that happened?
I sat up immediately as Grandma opened the door and sat at the end of my bed. I yawned giving her a sleepy smile.
"You're late dear." She chastised but she didn't look angry. My grandma rarely gets angry but she looked curious as to why I suddenly woke up late which is really rare for me, I should be too since I've never been this late before in my life.
Chanyeol talked to me on the phone last night about his plan to introduce me to his friends. He said if we were going to do this we need to have a back story as to why we were suddenly always together. So he thought it would be great if we let everyone in school know that we became friends because of a local gathering in our neighborhood.
I let him talk partly because I have no other idea on how to introduce myself and partly because I'm too nervous to even utter a word to him that night.
It kept me up knowing that Sehun might not like me and Chanyeol's friends might not like me and what should I say to them to break the ice. I'm an awkward person; I say the most wrong things in the most wrong moments and what if I did that in front of Sehun? The probability is close to million.
I got up, fighting another yawn form breaking out from my lips. "I finish my project last night grandma." I lied, opening my closet to get my uniform.
"You should have done it earlier." She said. "Hurry up then, breakfast's ready." She smiled at me one last time before departing down the stairs.
Oh god, what am I doing with my life. I took a deep breath before going inside my bathroom.

I headed down the stairs with my backpack on my shoulder. I took note how I only got twenty minutes left before our first class bell rings and I knew I'm not going to have a breakfast today. The thought depresses me. I've never skipped breakfast before.
Grandma greeted me with a smile. She really does smile a lot. She's not the type of grandma who would constantly nag you about everything. I kissed her on the cheeks immediately, knowing that she won't let me go until I had breakfast yet.
"You going to mom today grandma?" I asked distractedly and she nodded.
"Okay, sorry grandma but I'm running late and I can't take breakfast anymore." I smiled apologetically. "Tell mom I'll get her new crayons on Saturday."
Grandma patted my cheek affectionately. "I will dear. And get a toast before going out okay?"
I nodded, grabbing a toast on the counter before tying my shoes and getting out.
I ate my toast thinking at what I should say to Chanyeol's friends later.
I always walk my way to school but it's not because we don't have a car. We actually do but my grandma uses it every time to get to her local work since she's old and commute would be really hard on her. She wanted to take me to school every morning but I don't want to be a burden so I make it a point to always wake up early and just walk to school. It's a good exercise for me anyway.
I was munching on toast, still conjuring up some scenarios over my head on what to say to Chanyeol's friends later, when a car suddenly honked beside me.
