Before I know it, Chanyeol's team had been with me for almost every day in school. We didn't talk about it. It was just out of the blue where Minseok invited me in their table where unlike Chanyeol, I couldn't find it in myself to decline his offer and so I agreed and it's been like that for almost a week. Minseok, Luhan or sometimes even Jongdae would come over to our table, Heejun would give me that look while Juli would mutter disapprovingly under her breathe. I would agree of course, being a little shy to reject their offer and when I would change tables, Chanyeol would smile so wide giving me a subtle thumbs up for accepting it.
To be honest, they weren't all that bad. They were a bunch of loud, sometimes obnoxious kind of guys. They talked about almost anything under the sun. It was amusing, having to watch how they think ketchup is better than mayonnaise or how Android phones are better than IOS.
The only downside through all of this was that our plan wasn't even working. Oh Sehun is not as close to them as I perceive it to be. I had glimpses of him. Sometimes he'd pass by the table and say his greeting but other than that? It was nothing. I don't know what Chanyeol has to say about it but we still meet up every Sunday, giving me lessons on how to not be more awkward which, surprisingly is working a little bit.
I don't stutter as much anymore when they were talking to me, I could look at them in the eye without breaking in nervous sweat that much and I could smile more, or at least I tried to.
Since the switching table had been a thing I make it a point to call Heejun and Juli when I get home. Chanyeol gives me a ride every day now and I figured I should just accept it since having Heejun or Juli to take me home could be burdensome especially if they live at the other side of the town.
It was Monday and I was lagging behind my school work due to that every Sunday lessons I have with Park Chanyeol. I decided to skip lunch and finished the History paper that was to be handed on Thursday.
Chanyeol was playing with the rubics cube I brought with me to school while I was taking notes about my history paper. I could see him from the corner of my eyes, nose crinkling in dissatisfaction while his eyebrows gets more and more crunched up together. It was cute. I never really say much compliments to other people but he does look cute trying to solve it without my help.
Unable to resist it anymore I looked at him. He was too busy to even notice how my pen isn't flying on the paper anymore.
"Need help?" I whispered at him.
He finally looked at me, eyes distracted like he was in trance. His confused face makes me smile.
He finally shook his head then got back to what he was doing.
Chanyeol could be pretty stubborn. He specifically hates it when I'm better at him on something hence the reason why he was also so keen to finish even just one side of the cube.
I was feeling a little bored at all the words floating around me. I study hard but that doesn't mean I particularly enjoy doing a long essay about the Vietnam wars which I don't think our professor would even read. I reached out for the cube.
"What-" he protested and immediately looked around to find the librarian giving him a disapproving look. He bowed a little at her before looking back at me.
He gave me a stern look, holding out his hand to hand in the cube to him.
I shook my head, smiling slightly letting the cube be out of his reach. It was a really hard task considering that his arms length was far longer than mine.
He rolled his eyes and began sulking in his chair.
"Party pooper" he muttered. Giving me an accusing glance now and then like a child who I stole candy from.
