It was a good thing that the lot who saw me running away from Chanyeol were not the chatterbox in our school. I doubt that they would spread the gossip around as fast as the others do and it was a good thing; I could still move around the school without receiving the looks, if you know what I mean.
But the moment the last bell ring, I knew I was about to get it because that's usually the time where students gather to the hallways and well, talk. So before news would spread around, I got out the school. It was a good thing I haven't seen Chanyeol throughout the day. I swear that guy had a nose of a hellhound.
And what does a girl do when she's troubled or in need of someone to vent out with? Call her friends.
So I texted Juli and Heejun to meet me up at the yogurt store we always go to after school. Juli can't come. She said she has to finish some History paper so she's staying behind in school.
Heejun was the only one free so I met up with her and apparently, the news already reached her how, I quote, "run away from a certain hottie in our school" so I have no choice but to tell Heejun about Chanyeol; not the part where Mr. Kwon caught him with a cigarette but more on the fact that he wouldn't stop until he pays he's so called debt. I just feel like it's not my story to tell about him smoking.
Heejun doesn't question anything about the apparent debt Chayeol has on me. She knew I was holding something back but she didn't say anything not until I got to the part as to why I ran away from him earlier.
"You WHAT?" Heejun practically screamed at me. I jumped a little on my sit as I looked at her in confusion and surprise.
"Sssssshhh!" I looked around the place and saw a lot were giving us funny looks. I bowed my head in apology before giving Heejun a disapproving look.
"I panicked okay? And I don't know what to do; he just suddenly pops out and... I- I panicked" I defended myself, my hands automatically fidgeting on the table; my mannerisms when I'm nervous.
"You're such an idiot." She said bluntly. She leaned back on her chair looking at me disapprovingly. "He's going out of his way to help you why won't you say yes?"
I looked away. "I don't... trust him."
Heejun stared at me. "Did he do something that makes you not trust him?"
I racked my brain for something. Chanyeol and I never really talked that much except that time in the greenhouse. In fact, we never really talk even in our Chemistry class. He's always been just a guy with a name to me.
"Nothing" I murmured in defeat.
"You see," she gestured at me. "You're judging him."
"I'm not."
"Yes you are, you're always like that around guys, even Baekhyun and don't lie, I know."
I grimaced, unable to answer anything back.
"Chanyeol looks harmless Hina and besides, he's friends with Baekhyun. If Baekhyun can be friends with you then he can too right?" She patted my hand comfortingly.
"It's different with Baekhyun Heejun. I have to be friends with him; he's my bestfriend's boyfriend." I reason out in distress.
"Then pretend that Chanyeol's my boyfriend." She suggestively wiggled her eyebrows.
I rolled my eyes half-heartedly. "You're suppose to help me Hee"
She laughed, slapping my hand softly. "I am helping you! Come on give the guy a chance, maybe he really wants to help you. And a guy with a face like him doesn't lie."
