I guess I should thank Chanyeol for making me go outside our house other than running for errands and such for my grandma. It's not that I'm always home being the loser that I was. But I always save my Sunday for my movie marathon, reading, doing school related stuff, wash our clothes basically all the things a role model kind of child would do.
But getting to know Chanyeol gave me a reason to save my Sundays other than my usual routine.
My grandma noticed it and I know she's secretly glad that I was going out because she always urges me to go to even our local park and read there and let the sunlight touched my skin once in a while. So when I told her that I was going to attend some kind of a birthday party (which really isn't, it's just a party out of nowhere) she agreed immediately. But of course she asked whether Juli would be there to which I answered yes. And it's true she would be there along with Baekhyun. Heejun would be there too but she'd be with her so called 'friend' from the other school, Jongin.
Apparently, this party that Chanyeol invited me in was a big shot annual kind of party. That kind of party that screams rich in every single corner of the venue and that someone who got this event together is Yifan.
Juli and I had never been to this kind of party. Actually, we'd never been to any party ever and this being the first party we'll go to was a huge burden for me. I couldn't decide what to wear and I know how useless it would be to ask Juli for an advice since she's just as new as me to these kinds of things.
I could ask Heejun but I don't want to bother her with her preparing for her entrance exam next month.
So the day came and I just decided to wear something not remotely what I used to wear at school. The one and only dress I owned.
"That's what you're wearing?" Chanyeol said as soon as he parked outside our house, staring at me like he couldn't believe what he was seeing.
My grandma was out and she wouldn't be home until six pm so I already left a note on the fridge saying that I'll be on my way to the party.
I was planning to invite him inside our house first but he beat me to it.
"Yeah, why?" I asked looking down on my dress that I tried so hard to find inside my closet.
"You need to change." He just said getting my bags from me and climbing on to his car.
I followed after him mortified at what he just said. Did he know how hard it was for me to choose this instead of my usual pants or shorts?
I buckled my seatbelt facing him. "Is there something wrong with what I'm wearing?" I asked. I couldn't believe he was doing this to me.
"Truth or Lie?" He questioned staring right ahead the road.
We had this thing going on where we could ask each other if we wanted to say something but we don't want to hurt the others' feelings so we'd ask first if the other wanted to lie or not.
"Lie" I sighed, angling my body back in front of us. I'd rather hear the opposite of what he wanted to say.
"You look absolutely perfect." Chanyeol said without a hitch in his voice.
I rolled my eyes choosing not to respond because what do I know? I've never been to a party.
I looked at him from the corner of my eyes. He was just in a t-shirt with an oversized white polo, black sunglasses perched on his shirt, shorts and loafers. He's just in casual clothes as mine. How are his clothes different from mine?
