Chapter 9

The half man half horse had her hands twisted painfully behind her back as they make it through the snow.

"Let go of me!" Luna growled in frustration. She thrashed and kicked behind her hoping to hit the guy in the knee or something but there was nothing.

"If you don't stop moving I'm gonna have  to carry you. I don't want to touch a fish. Holding your arm is enough to make me disgusted!" The  centaur said While shoving Luna into the ground. Her hands go in front of her just to catch her fall. Luna's palms got cut up from the ice.

"What is your name fish?" He asks crouching down to Luna's level where she remains on the ground.

She looks up with a scowl on her face.
"How did you know I was a mermaid?" She yells

"I could smell it from a mile away fishy!" He whispered back.

His face was scrunched up trying to figure out what to do with her.

Luna remains on the ground still staring at his eyes while he's calculating his next step. Finally he says
" You never answered my question fish!"

Luna ignores him and looks down at the snow that is now turning red with blood from her palms.

"I won't ask you again! What is your name?!" He says again.

Luna tightens her hands into fists and still ignores him.

The boy is fed up with her stubbornness and grabs her chin roughly to make her look at him. He goes closer so his face is inches away from hers. When he breaths Luna can feel his cold breath fan over her face.

"Your really pretty. You know that fish? To bad I have to kill you. I won't stand for my queen to stand any threat!"

With that he stands up and pulls and arrow from his quiver and spins it in his hands. Checking to make sure the feathers are in place and to make sure it's sharp enough.

Luna begins to get worried. She looks up at him finally and whispers.

"Luna..."

The boy stop and looks at her. He takes a step closer his hoof almost stepping on her hand.

Luna is shaking now but not from fear. From the cold.

"What was that again?" He asks

Luna looks up with a defeated look. This boy must be Glacies guard.  She need to gain his trust to get to Glacies. She needed to make it right again.

" Luna. My name is Luna. It's Latin for moon. There happy pony?" Luna replies with a new found confidence. The boy looks at her with amusement and puts his arrow back and asks another question.

"Where did you come from and why do you want to see Glacies so badly?"

Luna looked up at him and her eyes couldn't help but look down at his torso. He was very attractive but she must keep to her goal.

"I came from Mare Equo's pond. I came here to get my kingdom back." Luna looked down again after that.

Realization hit the centaur this is the princess and she's out here alone. Banished.

He quickly grabs her arms and pulls her to her feet. He pulls her over his back and started galloping towards the ice castle where the great Glacies is.

After there long run the centaur pulls her down from his back and walks her into a huge Ice castle. The whole castle was made of ice. When the walked in Luna was awed by the high ceilings. Luna got pulled out of her thoughts to see the boy pulling her to a chair and sitting her down. He tied her hands tightly to the post. He then crouched down again and told her to wait here and be quiet.

She sat there while  the boy ran off. His hooves hitting the ice gracefully. She then noticed a design on his hind leg. His coat as white as snow was covered in a black design going down his leg. He disappeared around the corner.

When he came back in he wasn't alone. Following behind him is a bear with a coat as white as snow to match the centaur's. This bear had huge wings that looked like they sparkled in the sunlight. They were gorgeous. That must be Glacies. I tried to stand up but I forgot that I was tied down. The centaur tensed when I did this. Glacies then rushed over and said
"Julian! Untie the poor girl! She looks like she's losing circulation in her hands!"

The centaur then said
"Glacies! She could be dangerous though! She is Poten's youngest."j

"Julian untie her now!" Glacies responded.

Julian? That name suits the centaur. He's very attractive and his names Julian.

Julian unties me and I stand up as fast as I can afraid he will tie me down again.

I run my sore wrists with new bruises from how tight Julian tied my wrists.

I stare at Julian for a while taking in his details. The way his brownish hair falls over his forehead pulled to the side. The gray beanie sits perfectly on his head. His piercing blue eyes looking intently at everything. Picking up every detail. After what seems like ages at staring at him Luna turns to Glacies and says
" I need your help."
Glacies does the best she can to smile in her polar bear body.

"Of course join me for dinner." She says warmly despite the cold air.

When they sit at the table. Julian stands tensely at the door way. He can't stop staring at the princess and doesn't know why. Poten is an evil man he must of trained his daughters to be the same way? He thinks to him self.

Julian is lost in his thoughts as to why he is so attracted to her. She is the enemy and if she hurts Glacies he could never forgive himself. Glacies practically raised Julian. She found him in the woods abandoned as a child. She has raised him as her own and tought him everything he knows. He is her guard now and nothing will happen on his watch.

Luna's Point Of View

I describe my situation to Glacies. "Mare Equo says you could reverse it or tell me how to fix it! Please help my sister got turned into a mermaid too this morning she was heart broken her love of her life got turned into a three headed monster and I couldn't do anything but watch. Please help." I say tears in my eyes. I take a deep breath. I will not  be weak In front of this  strong powerful person . Especially Julian. Wait?! Why do I care what he thinks. I brush the thought away and listen to what Glacies has to say.
"Well sweetie Mare Equo tends to... Er.. Exaggerate things."
A humorless laugh comes from the door way and I look over at Julian.
"Mare Equo doesn't exaggerate anything he stretches the truth until you can't tell what is real and not. Pft! He's a liar." Julian finishes

Glacies yells at him "Julian! How dare you disrespect you wiser creatures! You may leave and when you have cooled off your welcome to come back in!"

Julian quickly puts his head down and mumbles a sorry and leaves quietly.

Glacies looks back at me and continues

"I'm sorry about that Julian has a strong dislike for Mare. I apologize. Anyway Mare knows a lot and is very wise but exaggerates to many things. I can tell the future and help that way. But I cannot reverse what has happened."

I nod my head. "What do I need to do?"

"You must kill your father and his evil horned witch Acranum..."
