Chapter 21

The dragon and the fairy look over at the trio with great awe. How do these strangers know them.

The fairy also known as Flamula, grabbed Bellus and pushed him behind her to protect him from any harm the trio would do the them.

"Whatever the king wants we do not have what you want!" Flamula said in a loud demanding voice to mask her fear but Ílios noticed the depths of fear in her yellow eyes as she protected her friend.

Julian stood up first with Luna holding his hand and standing slightly behind him.
"We do not come to be feared we have come to ask your for your much needed help against the king!"

Flamula backs up a little with a confused face she is thinking through what their attentions are. Have they come by the Kings orders to take Bellus away from again or are they trying to hurt her and Bellus?

"My mother," Julian interrupts her thought, "she left me. She left me at the steps of Glacies castle to be cared for she didn't leave me with anything of her only a piece of paper saying my name. I'm Julian guardian of Glacies the queen of I e who knows all. And she had been kidnapped by the King himself. I need your help to get her back. Will you help? Please?we can't get King Potent of the throne with out your help."

Luna looks at him shocked and steps away from him to look at his face. Why has he not told her this but will immediately  admit this to a mere stranger. Luna shook these thoughts away thinking it's not the time. Julian keeps his head forward staring at the fire Sprite waiting for an answer.

"Why should we help you? When the princesses are right here in front of me?" This time it was not Flamula to reply it was Bellus and little lavender dragon about the size of a forearm asks.

Ílios steps up and says "my father despised mermaids because my mother was one and he found out my sister Luna was one and he kicked us out. My father turned my soon to be husband into a three headed dog who is not the same and I do not know if I love him anymore..." Ílios fades out at the end and continues," please we need your help and I promise you. My sister will be a better ruler then my father ever was."

Flamula and Bellus look at each other and nod. Then they look at the friends and say "we will help you."

Luna lets out a breath of relief that she didn't even know she was holding.

On the trek back Ílios was walking next to Flamula with Bellus sitting on her shoulder. They were talking about some dress material she saw and that Ílios would look good in it. 

Luna and Julian were walking in the back a few feet way from each other in silence. The confession Julian gave kept swirling in her mind over again and again.

She stopped abruptly and grabbed his arm and turned him towards her.

Julian grabs her arms looking into her eyes with concern.

"So your mother? She -she left you?" Luna says sounding hurt.

Julian lets his arms drop and shakes his head looking to the side. "Luna I was gonna tell you but I never got the chance. I was gonna tell you the next day but I-I'm sorry." He concludes as he gently grabs Luna's hand and pulls her to him so they were standing toe to toe.
"No Julian it's ok. I just I don't know why it got to me and I'm sorry too." She gets on her tip toes and brushes her lips against his.

Then suddenly Luna is ripped from his arms and pushed to the ground. Julian grabs and arrow and pushes it into the attackers chest leaving it there and running to Luna pulling her up and running to Flamula and everyone else.

"Run! run!" Julian yells at them. As he gallops to catch up to them. Luna loses her balance and falls off Julians back. Julian doesn't have time to get to her before she is in a royal guards arms being surrounded so no one can get to her. Luna yells for them to run and leave her. Julian won't leave until Ílios pulls his arm and they run to safely as Luna is getting brought back to the castle were the evil tyrant sits in his throne waiting for his daughters arrival....
