Chapter 17
The centaur stayed at the pond for a little longer while Mare Equo helped treat his wound. While he was there Ílios was no where to be found.
This didn't faze the new couple. Especially, Luna. Luna understood that Ílios was upset that she didn't have her lover with her while she is going through this tough time. Luna felt bad and made a mental note that when Julian goes back to the Ice Castle she would go and make things right with her sister.
Luna hated the thought of Julian leaving her even if it was just for a night or two. She understands that Julian is the guardian of Glacies and he has to do his job.
"Ah! That hurts." The distressed centaur hissed. Luna patted the herbs that Mare made on the slash.
"I'm sorry." Luna replied under her breath.
After she was done. She apologized again and rested her forehead against his. Julian was breathing heavy from the pain. They sat there for a while in contentment.
After a while of silence, Julian speaks up. "I'm sorry to ruin this beautiful moment Luna but I must be going. The sun is setting and Galcies needs the information from the kin-"
Julian was cut off by Luna lightly putting her lips on his. Julian was in shock and before he could do anything she pulled away quickly and whispered "I understand Julian go protect Glacies I'll be here."
Julian smiled and looked into her eyes and kissed her on the cheek. "I will be back tomorrow okay?"
She nods with a slight blush on her cheeks. "Don't worry. Keep Glacies safe first then come and visit okay?"
Julian smiled at that and gave Luna a mock solute and turned to gallops away back to the ice castle with a smile that doesn't seem to want to go away....
