Chapter 19

The princess already missed the centaur as he left the clearing. Luna was sure of it now she was falling for Julian. He saved her from the Griffin her father sent and he brought her the ring back when she forgot it. He truly cares. After standing there in the same spot for a while Luna remembered she had to go and talk to her sister.

Luna found Ílios sitting in a tree staring at her fathers castle watching Acranum the horned witch in the sky. Acranum is the witch that the sisters father used for her great power. She is half witch half unicorn and does all of the kings dirty work. Luna and Ílios have to kill her to get there kingdoms back.

When Luna came back from her thoughts she was already up the tree and sitting next to her dear sister. Ílios made no move to talk or even spare a glance at Luna. Of course Luna didn't take it personally but ignored it completely.

After moments of silence Luna spoke up "Ílios, what's wrong? You have been completely rude and embarrassed me in front of Julian.  I never did that to you with Triber-"

Luna was cut of by Ílios saying "don't say his name please Luna!"

Ílios finally decided to give Luna a glance and instantly regretted what she said seeing the mermaid princess on the verge of tears.

Ílios took a deep breath and moved a piece of stray hair as red as fire out of her face.

"I'm sorry Luna just he almost killed Mare and I miss him. And seeing you with Julian it reminds me of Triberus and I miss him. I'm sorry Luna.."

"Aw Ílios," Luna starts and hugs Ílios "I don't mean to but Julians my soul mate just like Triberus is to you. I'm sorry too I didn't think of what it meant to you either."

Ílios looked at  Luna and says "let's pretend none of this happened. I know Julian will protect you and help with saving the kingdom and my beloved Triberus."

Luna reached for her sister and gave her a hug. Ílios was surprised at first but masked it quickly by hugging her little sister back.

Together they sit there thinking about what's to come to get there kingdom back. They where enjoying there time sitting next to each other and catching up. Talking about their mother and father. And how he doesn't deserve that title as King and father. They talked for what seems like a few minutes but in reality it was hours.

When they decided to go back to Mare's pond, they hear  hooves galloping towards them from behind. Luna turns around to see Julian running towards them.

His cheeks with a slights blush on his cheeks from running. 

Luna runs up to him and throws her arms around his neck. While his arms encircle her waist. Luna notices that her shoulder is starting to get wet with tears where his face is nuzzled into her neck.

"Julian what's wrong?" Luna asks taking his face in between her hands so she can see his face.

Julians eyes hold regret and sadness. Luna kisses his cheek as he starts to answer.

"Glacies... S-she went to your f-father cause she saw that I got hurt. T-to avenge me.. She's g-gone. Luna, she's gone.." With that Julian nuzzles his head into her neck again.

Watching this whole exchange with out saying a word Ílios finally says
"If my father wants a war. He will get one..."
