Chapter 13
Luna's Point Of View
That night I stared at the stars thinking about what Julian is doing. He said I wasn't weak. He said that he would save me time and time again if he could. No one has ever been that nice before. Beside Ílios and Mare. He ran to give me my ring back. He offered to walk me home. Not to sound clingy but he was a being so nice and great and that's what I already love about him.
Wait?! Did I just say love? There's no way I could love him already. I barely know him. Next time I see him I have to remember to get to know him better.
I heard mumbling behind me. I turned to see Ílios talking to Mare. I get up quietly and walk over behind the tree to listen in.
A deep voice says "I'm sorry Ílios it is meant to be the guardian is meant to be with her. Glacies knew what she was doing. She placed the ring there for him to find. Trust me Glacies would only do what's right."
Ílios huffed and said "whatever! I don't trust him and we shouldn't! Luna shouldn't want to be with a centaur. Mom would be disappointed."
I stepped out from behind the tree and said,
"Just because your my sister Ílios you can't tell me what to do! I think I'm in love with him and you need to respect that Ílios! Your not mom!"Ílios looked shocked and Mare did too.
Mare looked between me and Ílios and responds to my out break calmly. "I will not stand for any drama in my pond! If you to can't figure this out you will not have any where to stay! Are we clear?" His voice escalating quickly. I flinched back and so did Ílios. I have never seen Mare so mad in my short days here.
"I'm sorry Mare Equo." Ílios and I respond.
"Good. Now come along I want you to meet a friend of mine. I'm sure he can help with us taking down your father."
At the mention of my father I perked up. He snagged my attention yet again just like he had with Glacies.
Ílios and I walk quietly behind Mare making sure not to say anything because we would make sure that we wouldn't argue. Even if we didn't say it we needed Mare he gave us a place to sleep and a friend to talk to for advice as Ílios demonstrated earlier. Our pond disappearing into the distance as the trees got more dense. Soon I see little holes popping up and these holes I will recognize any where. There Lepus Cornu holes. Lepus Cornu are winged rabbits with antlers. Ílios, Triberus and I played tag with them when we were little in the gardens. I thought they were extinct. When mother died my father had a fit and made Acranum ,the horned witch, burn a forest down. I could have sworn all of them died.
I look up and see him. The Falcon that always sits on dads window sill. This is a trap I stop and grab Ílios's arm and point to him the falcon. We both stop and look at him in fear.
"It's okay princesses I'm not loyal to your father anymore I am loyal to you two and only you as my queens of Ficta Somnium."
We look at when our fear turned into confusion.
It has huge wings that make a circle shape. It has a long beak that's yellow and it's wings dark red and orange. It's wings are the most beautiful part of him.
"I have seen what your father has done and it's awful things. My brother got caught up in his bad doings. It teared us apart when our mother and father said to never leave each others side. I have an idea on how to bring your father down. "
With that I listen closely taking in every detail that he has said.
