As I brace my knees you hold me down with your eyes.

"What's wrong, Alex? Are you okay?" I exhale deeply.
"Yeah, I'm fine. Can we speak face to face?" She said over the line.
"What?" I chuckle sadly, "You want to FaceTime?"
"Maybe later, but uh can you come by tomorrow?
I play with my charger cable absentmindedly, "What does this have to do with?"
I hear her breathing over the phone, "I'm gonna be leaving for a while."
"What? Why?" I say panicked, "Where are you even going? I-"
"Look, this isn't about me or you, Phoebe." Alex interrupted. "My mom told me Today and I thought I should let you know. You don't have to come by if you don't want to, but I had to at least tell you."
"I don't even know what to say." I state blankly.
"Me neither." She exhales.
"So."
"So." She repeats. "What now?"
"FaceTime?" I offer with a smile.
She giggles, "Sure."

After a night full of incoherent conversation, I decide that it is far too pointless to fall asleep at 6:02 in the morning. Therefore, I spent the beginning of my day watching old shows I've already seen like 'It's always Sunny in Philadelphia' and 'Adventure Time."
I finally leave my room so I can shower and get ready for the afternoon. I take all my clothes off and slip into the shower. I wash my light brown hair and lather myself with my sweet smelling shower gel. I rinse off and hop back out. After brushing my teeth and blow drying my hair, I put on make up and get dressed.
I decided on just light blue jeans, black canvas shoes, and a flowery sweater Alex always borrows. I walk over to my neighbour's house.
"It's 3:00 o'clock on a Sunday." Kelsey stares at me through sleepy green eyes, "Can't this wait?"
To answer her question, I simply went in and looked for the keys for her white car. When I come back, I drag her from the place where she rested against the door frame and pull her into her vehicle.
