A/N: Let's call this romantic relief.
☼
I wake up on one of the fuzzy couches that adorned the room. The bright light from outside peaks from in between the curtains and greets me along with the warm smell of coffee. A small mug rested on the cable beside me, swirling and steaming up with the sent of caramel.
A post it was wrapped along the surface, a small note that read, "Good morning -J."
Smiling widely due to the charming gesture I take the mug in both hands and waltz out of the room with a stomach full of butterflies and a mind racing with possibilities. I make my way to the kitchen, to find it just as empty as the living room. I take a seat at the bar stools, as I wrap one hand around the warm mug as I scroll through my feed aimlessly. When I glance up from the liquid in my hands, I see a smiling Josh looking to me intently.
"Good morning, Josh." I smiled back at the cheeky boy as I took another sip.
He didn't reply right away, but instead he leaned against the fridge and stared at me with a pleasant expression, "Good morning, beautiful." His smile grew larger, exposing his lightly dimpled cheeks.
I was surprised by his compliment, but nonetheless it made butterflies erupt in my lower stomach all over again.
"You sure are in a good mood." I chuckled shyly, trying to ignore his gaze.
"Yeah, well last night was kind of perfect." He mused as he came across the kitchen towards me.
"What could have possibly made the night perfect?" I blinked innocently with a smirk spread across my lips.
"Filming the Stressed Out music video actually." He played along, "It was singularly the only thing I enjoyed yesterday."
"Well, I suppose its a good thing we are filming more of it today then." I spin around on the bar stool.
"Can't wait. I'm super excited to do so." Josh circled around the counter and spun the chair around so that I was facing him. He pressed his for head lightly down against mine and let his hands hover over my thighs, "We could do some more of the other thing if you'd like to." He bites his bottom lip.
Warmth spread along my body, beginning at the places where Josh's hot skin met mine. The light that escaped from between the curtains peeks into his features, glowing eyes now starting back at me in a honey coloured, expectant gaze.
He runs his tongue over his lips ever so slightly, "Is there any way I could get you super excited to do that too?"
Thinking of nothing but how much I longed for the feeling of the night prior, all I could do was let out a breathy yes, and reach for his cheeks that had been shadowed over by his stubble. He brings himself down lower, lips hovering above mine, "You have to say it out loud, Phoebe." He drops his hands over my thighs, spreads his fingers, and squeezes. Lightly; teasingly, "You have to tell what you want."
"I want to kiss you, Josh, please." I begged.
His lips parted in a smirk, gracing his masculine features with a pleased expression.
But they never met mine.
Josh pulled his lips far away from mine, bringing my hands down from where they were clinging onto his cheeks and placing them on my lap. The blue-headed boy strides away from where he stood in front of me and starts rummaging through the kitchen.
