My Only hope

Chapter 2: The Hospital

I wake up to the smell of bleach and an annoying beeping sound. My head feels as if it is being squeezed between two clamps. I open my eyes to find a completely white room. Looking around the room, I see a lot of complicated equipment and nine chairs up against the wall. Then it hits me like a ton of bricks, I'm in the hospital! Where are my family? Mommy, Daddy, I need you right now!!!!

As I'm freaking out, the beeping from before starts to speed up and start to hyperventilate. Where is Simon and the boys. I wish they were here to explain why I'm here. After a few minutes, a man comes in with wearing a lab coat and carrying a clipboard.

"Obviously, you're awake and have taken in your surroundings," the man says observing the look on my face.

"Who are you? Why am I here? Where are my parents," I ask in a rush.

"Calm down sweetpea. I'm doctor calway, but you can call me doc or whatever you want. You're here because you hit your head on your headboard," he stated in a soothing tone.

"And my parents, where are they," I asked again, this time a little calmer.

"sweetpea, they have been gone for 10 years now," he said with a sympathetic tone, a sad look painted on his face.

As soon as everything comes back to me I start to sob. I want to die, but everyone here is what is keeping me from that. I don't want to live after reviewing everything that has ever happened. Including my short childhood in Louisiana, my parents' deaths, moving to california to live with my godfather simon and his boys, my best friend cassidy and most importantly what i went through with Cameron.

Later that day my doctor tells Simon that I'm ok and he could take me home. That means i could go to school tomorrow. This may be the worst news I've gotten in a long time.
