Ethan's P.O.V
It's the day of the wedding and I'm extremely relieved. We moved the entire wedding to Melody and Tom's house so Mel is comfortable. It was convenient for everyone else too because it is closer to where everyone lives. We have about ten minutes before I start going down the aisle and I hear a knock on the door.
"Dude we have to rush through everything or else Melody won't make it," my brother informs me.
"James what are you talking about?"
"Mel is feeling funny and we think her water will break soon," he states quickly. Melody is a week past her due date and she is very uncomfortable right now. He condition has all of us very concerned. I follow James to where everyone else is all lined up and I can see Tom holding his hand on Melody's belly. Mel looks the most uncomfortable that she's been all day when I walk past her. We speed through the ceremony and luckily no water is spilled. At the reception, I wrap her in a hug and thank her for being here as a camera flashes at us.
We finish doing everything that needs to be done except for the cake. Just as a camera flashes, I hear a scream. I see it's my wife's cousin and that there is water all over the floor. I see Mel really close to her gripping a chair. She is squeezing the life out of Tom's hand with a scared look on her face. I know that Melody need to get to the hospital, so I run to Tom and tell him to take her.
Tom's P.O.V
I'm freaking out a lot right now. Melody's water just broke without warning and scared Ethan's new cousin half to death. WE are currently on our way to the hospital and the newlyweds are in the back set helping Mel stay calm and breath. Simon is in the car behind us with the rest of the guys and the passenger seat of our car is full of jackets and a duffle bag.
"I'm partially relieved when we make it to the hospital until Melody screams because of contractions. I guess Simon called ahead of us because there is a nurse waiting for us with a wheelchair waiting for us. As requested, we are brought to a private room where I help melody dress in a gown and help her into bed. The nurse checks Mel's dilation and gives her some ice chips as I freak out in the corner.
Melody's P.O.V
"Thomas get your ass over here," I yell as pain shoots through my uterus. Simon comes in and hold my hand until the contraction is gone. It lasted thirty seconds and scare the hell out of me. The contractions are about five minutes apart and they last thirty seconds. The nurse says that I have to dilate about nine centimeters. I know now that I'm in for one hell of a wait.
Maybe two hours later, i haven't dilated anything. Ethan comes in looking really upset. I've been in here for about an hour alone because almost him the nurse so I'm really glad to see Ethan. I got a small contraction, so I was able to ignore it without a problem.
"Ethan I'm sorry I ruined your big day. I should've just went home after the ceremony," I say looking him in the eye.
"Melody I'm glad you stayed until the baby decided to come. I'm just upset because of all the pain you will have to endure," he responds.
"You're not ever worried about your wedding?"
"How can I when everyone is out there, worried sick over if you're okay or not. I figured with Tom being one step away from a panic attack out there that I would come in and give you some company. So how ya doin' kiddo?"
"Now that you're here, fantastic," I say honestly. "I'm glad that you're not mad at me."
"I can't be mad at you for something you have no control over. By the way, why did Tom come back out into the waiting room? Did he hit the nurse or did he decide it was too much pressure?"
