I wake up still in Tom's arms. When I look up, I find him playing on his phone. I stretch my arms and legs and curl back into a ball. I feel him relax his hand that is holding his phone.
"Good morning beautiful. Did you sleep alright," he asks looking at me.
"Good morning and yes, I slept just fine," I say as I stretch a little bit more.
"Do you want to go down stairs and find something to eat?"
"Only if you carry me," I say causing him to laugh. He gets out of bed as I scoot to the edge. He helps me onto his back and proceeds to carry me down stairs. When we get into the kitchen, he sets me down in front of the fridge. We rummage for about an hour before I give up, sit on the floor, and watch Tom.
"I give up, there is not a single piece of food in this damn house," I whine.
"Do you want me to make a food run. It's noon and the pizza place is open. I can get you a large pepperoni pizza," Tom offers.
"Will you," I ask getting excited. Tom laughs and nods at how excited I am. "What are you waiting for? You have a pizza to get!"
"Alright, do you want to come with or do you want to set up a lazy day in your room?"
"Do you want me to come with you?"
"No, you stay home and set up our lazy day area and we'll hang out in it when I get back with some supplies. I'm going to stop by the store before getting the pizza, do you want me to pick up some movies while I'm out?"
"No we have enough movies. All we need is food, drinks, and snacks."
"Alright, you go set up and I'll be back soon," he says before kissing me goodbye, grabbing his keys, and walking out the door. I go upstairs and put my television on it's wall mount, set up the dvd player, put more pillows and blankets on the bed, and put the remotes on the nightstand so we don't have to get up to press play. After setting up, I lay on the bed and patiently wait for Tom to come back.
Tom's P.O.V
I just left Mel's and I'm on my way to the store to get some snacks for lazy day. As I drive, I try to figure out a way to ask Melody out on a date. She's single now so I'm not going to be stupid and let someone else have her again. I'm calling dibs on her completely.
After a few minutes, I'm walking into the grocery store. It's all decorated for valentine's day and I see a teddy bear holding a heart that says be mine. I immediately think of Melody, and throw it into the basket hanging from my arm. I go to the candy isle and grab two large bags so kit-kats, five bags of M & Ms, two bags of mini chocolate bars, and two bags of hershey's kisses. At the self check out, the cost is thirty dollars, but it's worth it. I mean come on, It's for Melody.
I get back in the truck, start it and start my short journey to get some pizza for Melody. I ordered three large pizzas and, of course, I got pulled. I get the pizzas after about half an hour and then I finally drive back to Melody's. To my surprise she is waiting for me on the porch.
Melody's P.O.V
Tom just got back and I'm waiting on the porch for him. I figured he would have a lot to carry, so I thought I would give him a hand. I take the pizzas and three of the six bags to lighten his load. He laughs at me when I take my stairlift from when I broke my leg a couple of years ago up.
As soon as we are in my room, we poor most of the candy into a giant bowl. We poor the bags of popcorn we found earlier into the bowl next to the candy bowl. After finishing one of the pizzas and watching two movies, Tom hands me one of the bags that he brought home. I reach my hand inside and what I pull out amazes me. In the bag was a white teddy bear with red mouth stitching, red inside its ears and on the pads of his paws. On the right foot, two connecting hears or stitched in white. The teddy has a red bow and heart. On the heart in it's paws, it says "be mine." To top it all off, the teddy bear has dark brown eyes and it is the softest thing I have ever felt.
