Me and Ethan haven't spoken in months. We pass each other in the kitchen, but I don't even look at him. He obviously isn't bothered by it so it's fine by me. Kevin thinks I should try to open up lines of communication, but I'm not the one that opened up an old wound. If anyone should be apologizing or opening up communication, it's him. Ethan doesn't even deserve to hear my voice after her brought up Cameron and how much he hurt me. I haven't seen much of Tom because he has been working a lot. He says it's so we can continue going on dates, but that doesn't stop me from missing him.

"Hey Mel, can I talk to you for a minute," James asks poking his head in. I get a little suspicious because he is one of the people that is sick of the silence between Ethan and I.

"Sure," I say slowly dragging out the 'u'.

He quickly pushes Ethan in and closes the door. I know he isn't the only one in on this because the door doesn't move an inch when Ethan pulls. He bangs on the door and kicks it.

"Not cool guys. Let me out, I'm not going to talk to her," he yells.

"We will let you out when you two make up," Simon yells back.

"Traitor," I yell from the bed making Ethan jump a little.

"Melody, can we please let bigons be bigons and talk this out later. I have a date in an hour," he says with a sigh.

"Whatever," I say. I don't feel like talking or fighting right now.

"Is everything alright," he asks snapping his attention to me. "You normally disagree and pick a fight with me."

"I'm not in the mood for that right now. Maybe later. Guys, let him out of my room. I don't have the energy to talk to him about this right now," I yell.

"You two are talking this out. We will keep you in there all night if we have to," James yells back. I hold up a finger to Ethan and silently open my window. I show him the ladder and before climbing down he gives me a hug. After an hour of not hearing any voices the guys come in. I closed the window a while ago, so there is no evidence that he left through there. However, the balcony door is open because I wanted some fresh air.

"He climbed down from the balcony didn't he," Alex asks me once he sees the doors open. I'm currently laying down watching a movie, trying my best to block them out. "Melody, please answer me."

"He didn't climb down from the balcony. He went through the window. You can't block that off though because that is my fire escape. That's why there is a ladder hanging down from the window sill."

"That sneaky son of a bitch. How did he open that window so quietly," he asks getting frustrated with his older brother. I shrug and unpause the movie. "Melody, is everything alright? You've been really quiet today."

"Am I not allowed to sit in my room and relax while watching a damn movie," I question him getting frustrated myself.

"We normally see more of you and you normally talk more. We are not used to you being so quiet unless Tom is around."

"Alex, Ethan is pulling in the driveway. Should we drag him back in here so these two can work things out before the house turns into a battlefield," James asks.

"Or you dumb asses can leave things alone and let them work things out themselves," I comment.

"Mel, what's wrong? I thought you wanted to work things out with Ethan."

"I'm fine, just leave things alone damn it. It's none of your damn business, so leave it alone," I snap.

"Boys, leave Melody alone for a while and go bother Ethan or something. She obviously wants to be left alone for a while," Simon interjects while the guys are frozen with shock at me suddenly snapping at them. "Come on, she's trying to watch a movie and you boys are interrupting her alone time. Let's go down stairs, Melody, let us know when you're not as crabby."

After three hours go by, I get a call from Tom.

"Hey Mel."

"Hi Tommy."

"Heard you've been kinda crabby all day. Is everything alright?"

"No," I sigh.

"What's wrong? Are they bothering you too much?"

"Yes and no. They have been bothering me to make up with Ethan, but that's not the only thing that's wrong. I'm tired and cranky. I haven't had very much alone time with you and that's starting to eat me alive. I just want sometime alone with you, but you're always working so I can't see you like I want to," I rant finally letting everything go.

"I figured you would be missing me. I'm going to take you on a romantic date tomorrow night. For now, try to make things okay again with Ethan. I know you want a sincere hug and apology from him," he says. I feel a little better, so I agree to talk with Ethan and talk with Tom for about an hour before he has to go back to work. I go down stairs and start looking for Ethan. I find him in the garage working on his truck again.

"Knock knock," I say getting his attention.

"Hey Melody, did the guys make you come out here," he questions me as I close the door behind me.

"No, I'm just sick of them trying to force us to talk so I figured now would be a good time to talk."

"Alright, let's talk then. What is it that's really bothering you about this whole thing."

"There is a couple answers to that. Do you really hope that Tom hurts me like Cameron did?"

"Honestly, no. I just said that because I was really mad and I had no control over my actions or mouth. I like Tom, he is a cool guy that I would kill if he ever hurt you."

"Okay, why did you lie to me about being sorry about the whole engagement thing."

"I really wasn't sorry. It is always my decision on if I want to ask someone to marry me. I am sorry for lying, but not sorry for proposing. I'm sorry if that upsets you, but that's just the way it is."

"Well thank you for saying sorry. I'm sorry that I got upset about you living your life."

"It's alright Melody. So are we alright now?"

"Yes," I say giving him a hug. He wraps his arms around me and kisses me on the cheek. After separating we smile at each other and turn toward the door to find the guys watching us.

"It's about damn time. Did Tom talk to you Melody," Mark questions.

"Yes, I promised him that I would make up with Ethan before tomorrow night. Are you guys happy now?"

"Yes," they all say simultaneously.

I go upstairs and lay back down, happy to know that I won.t be bothered about that anymore. I send Tom a text telling him that I'm going to bed early and that I made up with Ethan. After a minute he texts me back saying that he is happy that the drama is all cleared up and over with. At the end he says goodnight and sweet dreams. I text him goodnight then easily fall asleep.
