Standing in the full length mirror makes me extremely nervous. I can't believe that I'm walking down the aisle to marry Tom for the second time. All of Tom's family and friends are out there along with my family from Louisiana.
"Melody, everything is going to be great," Zoey chirps. "We are all going to go out there, Simon and your grandfather are going to walk you down the aisle, and everything will go just fine. Every girls is wearing a dress and all the guys are in suits or a dress shirt with dress pants, and your little boy is looking cuter than ever in his little tux.
"You have no idea how nervous I am. There are people out there that were really close to my mom and dad. That's why I'm scared. I don't want them to look at me and compare me to my mother and then get all upset that her and dad are no longer with us. It always happen and I just want today to be a happy day and not a reminder of what my family has lost.
"Melody," Simon says opening the door. "May we come in?"
"Yeah, um, come on in," I say trying to block out my nerves. Simon and my grandfather come in and quickly shut the door behind them. When they see me, their jaws drop to the floor.
"Melody you look amazing. Tom is one lucky man," grandpa compliments. My face heats up a bit and Simon wraps me in a tight hug.
"You look beautiful sweet pea," he whispers in my ear.
"Thank you," I whisper back. I feel a tear spill over and start to travel down my face. I thank goodness that I'm wearing waterproof makeup. Simon carefully wipes the tear away as Dean opens the door.
"Guys, we have about five minute until show time," He says before he ses me. When he notices me, he gets a big goofy smile on his face. "Tom is in for one hell of a treat. You look great Mel."
"Thanks Dean," I respond before he leaves the room. "Is everyone ready? Does everyone have their flowers and tissues? Is the rind bearer ready?"
"Melody, everyone is here and ready. It's all going according to plan. You will be walking down the little makeshift aisle with Simon and I. Everyone out there just can't wait to see you, so calm down a little bit."
"Let's go line up then," Zoey says. Knowing that in less than thirty minutes I will be joining Tom, I start to shake. Zoey sees me beginning to shake so she rubs my back. "Mel, it's going to be great."
It takes us four minutes to line up and we all decide to get this show on the road and start up. The order goes preacher, Tom, Ethan with his wife, Steve with his girl, Alex with his fiance, Jon with and his girl, Mark with Kat, and finally Dean with Zoey.
It comes time for Simon, grandpa, and I to walk down. Simon loops his arm around my left and Grandpa wraps his arm around my right. They take turns kissing me on the cheek before we open the curtain separating us from everyone else. There is another mirror for me to check my appearance. My hair is half up and half down with a simple braid wrapped around my head. The braid is secured on the back of my head by a sparkly clip.
My dress is a pure white, trumpet shaped gown with a sweetheart neckline. The dress is simple except for a sparkly jewel thing on my right hip. I have a sparkly belt tightly wrapped around my waist. My shoes are black cowboy boots with a little bit of sparkle to match my dress. My makeup is simple yet elegant.
"Ready Mel," Simon asks. I nod and he opens the the second curtain. Everyone is standing with big smiles on their faces. When I look from the guests to Tom, the smile on my face widens. He is wearing a nice black suit with a back tie and a red rose clipped to the pocket of his jacket. His dress shirt is white of course. When we stop walking like we did in a rehearsal, Tom comes forward. Simon and my grandpa shake his hand and threaten to kill him if he ever hurts me. Once they are seated we make our way back to where Tom was previously standing.
"Dearly beloved, we are gathered here today to celebrate in holy matrimony miss Melody Clamon and Mr. Thomas Dueweke. If anyone objects, speak now or forever hold your peace," The preacher begins. When no one says anything, he continues. I don't know why they ask people if they would like to object to a marriage. It's very rude to stand up infront of God and everyone and say they don't think a couple should be together. Anyway, when the time comes, it takes me a minute to get the ring on Tom's finger and get really excited when it is finally on.
After the ceremony, we all walk back down the aisle in reverse order. Tom hands Nick to me once we get back in the house since we just married at our farm house. We decide to go sit on the front porch to kind of wind down before picture start. We sit down on the little swing as a family and just look out into the yard. After I look at my small family, I decide that I will be more than happy the rest of my life.
"Melody and Nick, I love the both of you," Tom says randomly.
"I love you too," I respond. Nick makes a weird bubbly sound and reaches for Tom's hand. He pulls us to him and then pulls me and Nick onto his lap. This is what life is truly all about.

This is the final chapter. I'm very sorry it was short but I really am not good at describing things and then making sense out of it. Thanks to the people who read every single chapter from beginning to finish. I am still planning on posting a new story, but I don't know when that would be since I'm scrapping an idea I had originally. This was my first story ever, so please leave comments and thanks for bearing with me. But you have to be nice. Thanks again for read, Y'all are awesome. :-)
