Night At The Museum

Another wild night

Chapter 12:
(Larry and Maco)

(Larry)

After I was done talking to Rebecca about the history of the inhabitants in the museum, going to the library to learn more, Maco went who knows where! I decided to grab a few items from home to deal with some of the inhabitants. I heard Maco enter her apartment; only she opens and closes her door like that as I looked around for my lighter I wondered if Maco wanted to go but she was doing something in her house. So I left without her.

As I entered the museum and put my things away in my locker, the senior night guards told me they were going away again. I could really used some help with these large inhabitants, I walked them out and said my goodbyes. It was almost time for the inhabitants to wake up; first up Rexy! I looked on its rib cage and took the largest bone and tied it to the little remote control  car. Rexy did not wake up yet until I made the car drive away , it shook the slumber off and ran after it, almost taking my head off in the process "have fun" I said putting a rubber band on the remote control.

It seemed that Larry left without me, well obviously because he shouldn't be late on his second night so I walked over to the museum with my knitting and sewing kit,  my laptop,  my Ipod, and my books that was in my back pack just in case if I got bored. I hope he was doing okay and I hope he wasn't lying about that "everything in this museum comes to life at night " thing he told me in the morning. I never doubted on him but the "believe him and don't believe him" circled around my head "please don't be a lie, please. . .please" I said walking up the stairs of the museum.

I heard braying; the sound of an elephant, I turned around "what on earth?!" I said, there was no parade in New York, not in this weather. I turned around to the rotating door to figure out that the T-Rex bones were gone! "Larry what have you done?" I questioned trying to open the door; obviously it was locked! And the lock was on top of the door. I got on my tiptoes and placed my grandfather's keys in the key hole and turned them to unlock the door.

Once I took the keys out and spun the door I realized Teddy Roosevelt and his horse were gone as well! "Larry you're in big troub-" I was cut off by an elephant braying on the top floor, everything in the museum was walking around and talking "so you were right all along Larry" I said taking off my coat and putting it down on the information table but kept on my back pack.

This was beautiful, if only people came to the museum at night, the museum could make bank! I walked around to find Larry, but I ran into so many inhabitants "Larry!" I yelled going up the stairs, he probably couldn't hear me over the noise "Larry?" I yelled one more time, I stopped and began to think "if everything is alive maybe that little Roman is too, maybe I could move him back to where he belonged. I ran back down the stairs and into the miniature figurines exhibit to find Larry talking to the wild west section, I slowly crept up behind him and listen to the little Roman speak.

I kept on trying to make Octavius and Jedediah not make a hole in the wall but they wouldn't listen and tried to keep going, didn't they know they were going to hit another wall "curiouser and curiouser" I heard someone say behind me, turning around to see who it was I felt like I've heard that saying before "M-Maco? What are you doing here?" I asked "you said I could come here if I wanted and I wanted to see if you were lying" Maco said putting her hands on her hips.

I did say she could come. But this place was dangerous "aww how cute" Maco cooed putting a finger out to Octavius "and who is this?" Octavius said looking at Maco's finger, I looked at Octavius "this is Maco, my neighbor" Octavius uncrossed his arms and put a hand on Maco's finger, took his hand off her finger, and crossed his arms again "charmed" he retorted looking away from her finger. Maco took her finger away from Octavius and frowned "and this is Jedediah" I said bringing her to the wild west section, Maco looked around until Jedediah walked up to her and stuck out a hand "hey" he said waiting for Maco to bring her finger down. Maco smiled in delight and held out her finger, they both stayed like that for awhile.

I was getting worried that they'd get attached in the, you know. . . "Romantic way" I took Maco's finger away from Jeds hand "they're so small and cute" Maco said putting her hands together, Jed put his hands on his hips "I'm sorry" Maco said putting her hands on her mouth "I don't mean to belittle you"I looked at Maco, she seemed to have a lot of respect for all the inhabitants in the museum even though she just met a two of them tonight "Maco, you know since everything is alive why don't you go up to the Egypt exhibit" I said with a smile, Maco's eyes widened, dropped her hands to her hips, and intertwined her index fingers and middle fingers together, raised her shoulders, and smiled "really?!" Maco shouted as I took Octavius and Jed out of their sections and placed them on the chair "yes" I replied. Jedediah hated being man handled while Octavius just didn't like how I picked him up "don't hurt them" Maco said with worry in her voice, I looked at Maco and told the boys that they could roam around and they didn't have to be in this room together, Maco nodded and smiled at them "Sweety where'd you get that shiner?"Jed asked, Maco put her fingers under her eye "its nothing " she answered sweetly "it doesn't look like nothing" Octavius said walking up to her face and reaching out. Maco closed her eyes and brought her face close to his hand. I watched as Octavius rub his hand on the black and blue mark under Maco's eye "I'm just gonna put some makeup on it" Maco said taking her face away from his touch "no makeup can hide that" Jed said looking down "you just made some friends Maco" I said with chuckle.
