Chapter 4:

(Larry)

Maco and I took a plane to Washington DC, Maco twiddled her thumbs all the way there. As soon as we got off the plane we took a cab "I just hope they're ok" Maco mumbled squeezing her fingers as I looked out the window, Washington DC was beautiful, the trees and bushes were cut perfectly, the grass was trimmed; it felt like the whole state was suburban.

"Fais attention s'il te plaît (please be safe)" I heard Maco say as we got out of the taxi which parked itself infront of the museum, or should I say museums "was that french, Maco?" I asked searching for my phone "yes, it is Larry" Maco said biting her fingers. As soon I felt my phone buzz around in my pocket Maco looked around while holding herself, I dug into my pockets one last time and found my phone "il est votre fils, Nicky (it's your son, Nicky)" Maco said looking at me "don't go french on me Maco. Please and thank you" I said picking up the phone "ok we're here" I said into the phone. Nicky explained that there was three museums and that the inhabitants were underground. Maco and I checked the first museum that was close to us; which held rocket ships and planes "aww how cute" Maco cooed poking some Albert Einstein bobble heads as I asked a women where the storage area was, she told me it was in the other part of the museum surrounded by guards.

I walked towards Maco and watched her poke them two more times until she looked at me "lets keep moving, it's almost sundown" I said taking her by the wrist and walking to art museum. "This museum is huge, I feel like I've been here before" Maco said looking around the museum. I refused to let her wrist go; I kept on thinking that she'd run off somewhere, I kept on looking around. The guards walked around; the museums were swarmed with guards "Larry. Look" Maco said pointing at a door, I looked at the door Maco told me to look at. We couldn't get in unless we were a guard, Maco slipped her hand away from mine and walked away "M-Maco come back" I stuttered looking her and the locked door "lets look around, surely we can find an idiot guard" Maco said taking a turn, I continued to look at the door before I caught up with Maco who was going to the architecture part of the museum, Maco jogged around until she was out of my sight, "Maco?"I said looking around for her "Larry, over here" I heard Maco shout. I looked around until I saw her stand infront of an old Egyptian door. She staring at a name post "Larry look at this" Maco said pointing at the post "The Gate of Kahmunrah" I trailed off my tongue, who's Kahmunrah? Maco and I looked at each other in confusion.

Maco squinted at the Egyptian door "look, it looks like Ahkmenrah's tablet goes here" Maco said pointing at the door. Maco was right, it looked like the tablet was ripped off because two pieces were still onto the door "hey" someone shouted, Maco turned around and put a hand on her mouth, guard was looking at us "what are you doing?" He asked walking towards us, "we were just. . ." Maco said looking away from the guard "no touching" the guard said. "No no we weren't touching" I said since Maco wouldn't speak up, "moving in with some I.T.T, bro" the guard said standing next to us.

Maco looked at me in confusion "I.T.T?" I questioned, the guard looked at me " it's Intense To Touch, homie" he said, Maco looked down and rubbed her arms "I know, but we weren't touching" I said looking back "trying to kiss it?" The guard questioned "pardon my french?!" Maco shrieked " put your hand out and touch it" the guard said gesturing us to touch it "because I stand there and waited all day for a little girl like you, to put her precious nail polished nails on one of the exhibits" he said after, Maco looked at her black nail polished nails and looked back at the guard with a pissed off face "you better check yourself, or I'm gonna rickety wreck yourself" Maco said putting her hands on her hips " you know, I'm sorry last time I checked I-I thought we lived in a free country" I said, Maco looked at me then at the guard and nodded the "no we don't, it's the United States of don't touch that thing right in front of you" the guard snapped "so your saying we can't look" Maco said cocking an eyebrow "I just wanna, I allowed to look at it here" I said getting frustrated "see what happens when you touch it" the guard shouted "are you threating me?" I asked looking at the guards name tag "that sounded like a threat, Larry" Maco muttered "it's Brundon" the guard said.

Maco watched as I argued back and forth with the guard until I touched the exhibit. This was the easy way to get his ID card. Once I got it we walked back to the locked door and unlocked it, I wasn't going to get far unless I put on a Smithsonian guard outfit, Maco didn't put on a guard outfit, she enjoyed her clothes. We walked down the stairs until Nicky called, but we lost signal. I tried to get back the signal but we heard other guards above us. Maco pushed us into the first door we saw.
