Chapter 15:

(Maco)

I wanted to surprise Ahkmenrah when he got out of his sarcophagus, I didn't really know what to wear. I paced back and forth around my apartment "I could fix my hair?" I said looking at the bathroom "I could cover up this bruise" I said looking at my bedroom "what am I waiting for? Let's begin!" I shouted running into the bathroom, I went under my sink to find my hair dyes; I found the red, blue, green, blonde, and purple. I chosed the green hair dye because I wasn't feeling the others. I took the dye out the box and started mixing. I remembered that the girls didn't scalp my hair correctly so I plugged in my buzz razor and shaved the sides leaving a little bit of stubble. I looked at myself as I  ran my fingers through my hair. I smiled as I started bleach my hair and put the hair dye in my hair, the bleaching and dye was one quarter away from the roots.

I went into my room and turned on some music as I put tin foil in my hair and danced around for thirty minutes. My head felt a little itchy as I turned on the water in my bathtub. I slowly took the tin foil out of my hair and sang to the song on the radio since the other songs went off; which was September by Earth, Wind, and Fire. I got on my knees and rinsed the dye out.

"Ba de ya - say do you remember
Ba de ya - dancing in September
Ba de ya - never was a cloudy day"

I reached for the towel on the towel rack which fell on the floor "oh come on, when I need you right now" I said reaching for the towel and finally grabbing it.

"Ba duda, ba duda, ba duda, badu
Ba duda, badu, ba duda, badu
Ba duda, badu, ba duda"

I put the towel on my head and rubbed it around while shaking my hips, I took the towel off my head to find my hair an envy green color, I smiled in delight as I unplugged my buzz razor and plugged in my hair dryer "so beautiful" I said opening my medicine cabinet to get a brush "so freaking beautiful" I said turning on the hair dryer and drying my hair.

The song ended as I looked for a pretty dress, the only one I could find was another black balloon dress with a triangular hole above the breast area, this dress went above my knees and had white collar flaps with a tiny white bow and under the the black dress had had a white under dress "this looks. . . Cute?" I said slipping it on, something about it didn't feel right. I was missing the thigh high stripped socks, and the apron. I looked in my wardrobe to find an apron which went around the black dress. It had little frilly sleeves and a frilly outline. Once I put it on it made me look like a maid. I opened my sock draw and found my thigh high stripped socks and put them on "not quite done, huh?" I said to myself while looking in the mirror. I looked at my nails, they were clear like spit. I went back into the bathroom and looked for my black nail polish. I was so eager to look beautiful for Ahkmenrah knowing I didn't know what he looked like. As I painted my nails I thought about how to greet him "hello I'm Maco" I said excited, nope. Too much excitement "hey, the name's Maco" I said again, no, too chill "Hello there, my name is Maco" I said one more time, no,  too seductive while waiting for my nails to dry. Once I was done, I turned off the radio, brushed and braided my hair, and looked in thd mirror. One last thing to do; cover that bruise.

I looked around for my makeup, I was out. There had to be something I could use to cover it up. I looked at my black roses. The roses were fake and so was the petals "Maco what a great idea" I said walking up to the fake flowers and plucking the petals off. The petals could cover the bruise, I may have been out of make up but I wasn't out of fake eye lash glue! I went back into the bathroom and opened one of the draws. There was the glue "okay Maco, do your thing" I said to myself while gluing the edges of the petals and putting it around my eye.

I've wasted enough time in my house, I grabbed my coat, put on my black high top converse and went back to the museum.
