Chapter 18:

(Larry, Maco, and Jedediah)

(Larry)

We watched Ahkmenrah unwrap himself to figure out he had clothes under the wrappings, he put on his crown and told his jackals to take the slab and throw it against the gate; which to my surprise worked because the gate flew out of its place "oh thank the lord, I felt a little claustrophobic you know" Maco said putting her hands on her hips and walking towards the exit "you're claustrophobic? What about me I've been in that sarcophagus for fifty-four years! Ahkmenrah said with a smile. Once we were out of the exhibit I thanked the jackals and told them I'd look after Ahkmenrah. Maco and Ahkmenrah were quite the chatterboxes together, he was so fascinated by her as she was of him. Maco stopped talking once we were ontop of the lobby "Larry, look" Maco said pointing downwards. I looked over the balcony; all the inhabitants were fighting! From the largest to the smallest "oh my goodness what are we going to do Larry" Maco said looking at me, her face went all pale.

A noise cover the sounds of the inhabitants fighting "what is that?" Ahkmenrah said looking across the balcony. I looked across from where we were to find Attila the Hun and other huns looking at us "I gotta deal with this guy" I said running, trying to get to Attila while he did the same. Once we were in each others face, we let out a scream. Atilla went off in his language while I acted like I knew what I was saying. Ahkmenrah asked what Atilla wanted and Atilla said he wanted to rip me apart like he did the second night I came here. I told Atilla the only one who was ripped was him which made Atilla break down emotionally. Once Atilla became my friend I had to deal with the inhabitants "guys" I yelled, no one listened "guys!" I yelled again, no one listened "QUIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIEEEEEEEET" the moai statue yelled "my dum-dum wants to speak" it said after ; that made them stop "okay, now this is king Ahkmenrah" I yelled pointing at Ahkmenrah "his tablet brings you to life at night. The old night guards, took it. Now we need to find them!" I said thinking, Maco went downstairs to look at the civil war guys "Maco" I yelled getting her attention, Maco looked up at me " take the civil war guys and do a sweep in the east" I demanded, Maco nodded her head. I looked at the bronze man who looked like he was going to say something "My explorer friend who's name escapes me" I said trying to figure out this bronze mans name "Christopher Columbus" Nicky whispered, I snapped my finger and pointed at the bronze man "Christopher Columbus!" I yelled, Christopher Columbus sighed in relief "sorry no name tag" I said pointing to my chest "take the neanderthals and check out the amphibians exhibit all the way to the reptiles" Maco pointed her chin to the miniature figurines "Jed, Octavius, their van is outside, go take care of that-" I was cut off by Jedediah saying "whoa whoa, I'm not working with him" Jedediah snapped "the Romans work alone" Octavius said looking at his nails, which led to Jed hitting him, this obviously made Octavius mad so Octavius hit Jed back " guys, take away the fact that you're a hundred years apart, your not that different. Your great leaders, you just want what's great for your people" I looked at the Civil War soldiers "Civil war dudes... You guys are brothers, for God's sake... You gotta stop fighting... North wins... Slavery is bad... Sorry... Don't want to burst your bubble but South, you guys get Allman Brothers..." I hesitated "...and... Nascar. So just chill!" I put my fist in the air "so who's with me?" The inhabitants gave a small cheer "I said who's with me?!" I yelled then all the inhabitants started to cheer and shout, I watched Maco throw her hands in the air and shout until she took one of the guns from the soldiers. Finally the inhabitants are getting along. As I watched the inhabitants go look for the night guards, I realized Ahkmenrah went missing.

(Jedediah)

So I led a few of my boys while Octavius took a few of his boys out to the back where the van was like gigantor said, we walked up to the ledge which was like a fifty foot drop, maybe a hundred. I turned my head "alright boys follow me" I said jumping off the ledge with Octavius hot on my tail, I could hear the boys screaming as we hit the soft snow. Once we were down to the level of the wheels, we decided to take out the front left wheel. I watched as Octavius held his spear, I grabbed a part of the spear along with the boys as he stabbed into the wheel causing air that could've peeled off my skin like an orange in the summer! It caused the boys to be blown away, the air was too strong "save yourself" Octavius yelled, there's no way I'm leaving him behind "I ain't quittin' you" I yelled back.

(Maco)

I led the Civil War soldiers around the hallways "they gotta be around here somewhere" I said looking to the left and looking to the right "indeed" a voice said, I stopped and looked at the soldiers who stopped as well, they don't have mouths, so how could they speak? I turned around to find Ahkmenrah with his hands on his mouth "m-my king what are you doing?" I asked pointing my gun to the floor "I wanted to talk to you, nothing wrong with that?" Ahkmenrah said looking away, indeed there wasn't " come on" I said walking "ask as many questions as you like Ahkmenrah" I said looking around "Ok, if you're not a king, who is a king in your family?" Ahkmenrah asked, I scoffed and laughed "no one is a king" I said shaking my head.

Ahkmenrah put his fingers on his chin "what kind of blood rushes through your veins?" Ahkmenrah questioned. I looked at my veins "Irish and Native American blood" I said stopping and putting up a hand; I heard noises "okay, south soldiers. . . Go on the other side of the hall" I commanded, the southern soldiers nodded and jogged away "hold your positions northerners" I said making a fist, the northern soldiers waited for the noise to come closer to us "are you a plant?" Ahkmenrah asked touching the flower petals that were covering my eye "no, it's to cover the bruise" I said with a little fear in my voice, Ahkmenrah took one of the petals from around my eye and started to peel it off.

"what are you do-" I was cut off by Ahkmenrah rubbing the spot of my eye that he unpeeled the petal off of "don't hide your beauty, little iris" he whispered, I felt so warm and fuzzy on the inside, I wish this moment could last, but it didn't the noise made it's way down stairs where we waited. The northern soldiers  stood up and pointed their guns at the man who made the noise which was Gus, who was holding gold in his hands. I walked in front of the soldiers and pointed my gun at Gus, this old man turned around to find the southern soldiers down the hallway pointing guns too "it's hopeless Gus. . . You're surrounded."
