Chapter 11:
(Larry)
Ok, so uh, we met Abraham Lincoln, he scared off the guards thus to him being giant, and of course, he indicated that Amelia and I were a 'cute couple' but I wasn't having it.
"No, no we're not a couple" I stuttered, I turned my gaze to Amelia who was trying to hold back her giggling, Abraham himself wasn't having it either, "well I say, bleh bleh bleh, I'm right, and you know I am" he boasted, pointing a finger at me. I couldn't go against 'Honest Abe' if he was right, he was right. "You sure we make a cute couple? Because personally, I find my friends Sacagawea and Teddy Roosevelt a cute couple, oh, and um, uh," I said putting my hands on my hips and looking around.
Their names popped into my head.
I snapped my finger and pointed at Abe "Ahkmenrah and Maco, I love seeing them together" I said dropping my hand to my side before putting it back on my hip, and with that I nodded my head.
Abe put his cheek onto his fist and leaned, drumming his fingers on his chair "how can I say they're a cute couple, if I've never seen them?" Abe replied dryly.
He was right, he never met them to know, only I saw it. And it was nice to see people in love. Amelia walked ahead of me to see my whole face. I looked at her confusingly, before her facial expression changed. What's up with her?
Within fifteen minutes, we left Abe alone and started to walk towards the other museum. It was a beautiful starry night and the breeze was lovely, I could smell everything, the grass, the trees, everything.
Amelia, who was walking beside me, looked at me then looked back at our destination, "so," she trailed off "why do you find this Maco girl and this Ahkmenrah fellow a 'cute couple' so to say" she said putting her hands in the air and making a quoting motion.
So that's why she looked at me that way.
"Well, I find them cute because it's young love, and seeing them be together is kind of a heartwarming moment. Makes me think of the times I met my ex wife-" "ex wife?" Amelia cut me off "you were married?" She added, I turned towards her.
"Yeah, but it's been over for sometime, I moved out of her place and got my own apartment, then I met Maco" I explained, Amelia started to smile "tell me how you met Maco, the blue headed girl, tell me ace, tell me" she begged.
I guess why not.
"Let's see, Maco, Maco, Maco, ah, yes, I met her in the hallway, downstairs, near our mailboxes. I was getting my mail and she was just staring at her empty mailbox, I mean she wasn't even blinking, she was just, standing there. I had to walk up to her and ask if everything is ok, but she looked at me and then said 'oh it's fine, I was just expecting to have mail' and with that she left me by myself downstairs" I explained, Amelia nodded her head.
"Do you have feelings for her?" Amelia asked out of nowhere, I fumbled before looking at her as if she did something heinous "y-you mean like, I want to be with her? No, n-no I don't like Maco like that, she's my friend, and she's helped me through alot of things. Also she's interested in her king Ahkmenrah, she loves him too much to leave him," I explained, "I'm still trying to wrap my finger around why Ahkmenrah never mentioned his family to me or Maco, and of all times to do this she chose now to 'meet' his family" I muttered.
Oh great, now I'm poking holes into someone's relationship. And it's the Fourth King and Kings' relationship. Not only was I poking holes but now I'm questioning it; Ahkmenrah hiding things from Maco and I, and Maco trying to get herself killed just to get to know his brother if not the rest of the family.
You know what? Screw it, I'm not going to ruin someone's relationship because I questioning the young couple, I should just keep quiet unless they both need me. From that point on I kept quiet and entered the other museum.
