Chapter 21:
(Larry and Maco)

I watched Little Texas bring Maco back to museum, the sun was coming up so we had to move fast! Once we got back we made sure that every single inhabitant was back in the museum we made a count in the front of the museum and in the back of museum,best thing that happened was that Teddy was fixed,Rebecca came back to the museum, and Jed and Octavius were alive. Another interesting thing was I watched Maco take Ahkmenrah back to his Sarcophagus.

The museum needed to be cleaned, it was trashed "so if you're from Connecticut, why are you here?" Ahkmenrah asked, I snapped out of my black out and looked at him "I go to a beauty school and I live here in New York, it's a fresh start" I said putting my hands on my hips, Ahkmenrah walked up to me and peeled off more of the flower petals around my eye "hey what are you doing?!" I asked trying to swat him away, he didn't budge until the flower petals were off my face. I looked down, he wasn't supposed to see the bruise "what's that?" He asked holding my face "I got hurt" I said looking away "will it go away?" He questioned. I looked up at him "yeah" Ahkmenrah gave me a smile as I caressed his hand "I'll walk you up to your sarcophagus" I said holding his arm and walking him up to the Egypt exhibit.

Ahkmenrah asked the jackals to take the slab and bring it back to his Sarcophagus. I honestly didn't like the fact that he had to go away in the mornings, as I watched him take off his crown and get back into the sarcophagus I noticed he looked at me "are you coming back tomorrow?" He asked, I held myself and helped him slowly put the lid on "yes" I replied sweetly, Ahkmenrah smiled as I put the lid on completely, I pushed the slab halfway on and walked out of the Egypt exhibit. Once I got to the doorway I turned around and looked at the sarcophagus one last time.

before morning hit Nicky, Maco, Rebecca, and I cleaned up the museum before Nicky had to go home but Mr. McPhee still wanted to talk to me, obviously Maco went with me in the office. Mr. McPhee showed us what was on the news which was Rexy's foot prints in the snow, caveman paintings in the subway, and the neanderthals on top of a roof with fire. Mr. McPhee turned off the tv and looked at us "anything to say about this?" He asked Maco sighed and dropped her head "nope" I answered honestly, Mr. McPhee got up from his chair and walked up to me "give me your keys and flashlight" he said holding out his hand, I gave him the keys and flashlight, Maco really didn't want me to be fired from this job but she had to face it. As we walked out of the office we realized that a numerous amount of people came to the museum. Maco put a hand on her eye and smiled at how many people came to the museum even Rebecca, Mr. McPhee gave me back my keys and flashlight; I got my job back!

Maco went home to change her outfit which was a long sleeve black dress that covered her ankles and black chunky booties. She and I walked to Nickys' school for his schools career day. Maco climbed a tree and watched as Nicky told his classmates about my job,I looked at the window and smiled at Maco while she snapped off a branch and smiled back.

Once the sun begin to set I took Nicky back to the museum, Maco was already there waiting for the rest of the inhabitants to wake up. She sat on the information table with her laptop "we should celebrate" she said moving her laptop around. We set up speakers, games for the inhabitants to play and, waited for them to wake up. Once they woke up we played "September" by Earth, Wind, and Fire. I watched them all play and dance around. I even watched Maco dance around with Ahkmenrah; was there a friendly connection between them? Or a romantic connection? A small remote control car drove by and stopped while Rexy stopped in front of the balcony I was on, Nicky was sitting on Rexys back looking at me "hey, its getting late. Ready to go home?" I asked "nope" Nicky replied, I laughed, Nicky smiled and continued to ride on Rexys back. I turned around and turned off my flashlight by snapping my finger.
