I was on fire.
Everything had happened so fast, but one thing kept coming into my mind.
They're leaving.
"Please stop! Please! I will do anything!" I yelled at the man who was the leader of the gang who was terrorizing our home.
"Stupid girl!" He yelled and kicked me and I hit the back wall, "Stay quiet or die! This town will pay for what it did to us! Right men?"
The comment ended resulted in whoots from the group who was tearing my life apart without even a second glance.
They tied us up, my parents and I, and continued to ruin my home.
"Natalia, I need you to hide. We love you sweetie. More than you will ever know. If anything happens to us, just tell the people who come that we gave you everything and that you are to live with grandma," my mom looked at me with worry and my dad nodded from behind her.
"Stop talking!" a man yelled and punched my mother.
I couldn't hold it in any longer.
I screamed.
They all turned to me with shocked, hateful, and furious expressions.
The leader then smirked, "Lets finnish this men. Killing the mayor and his wife will show this town!"
With that he and another guy pulled out their guns and dragged my parents to the other wall.
They mouthed a final 'I love you', completely in sync with each other, and clasped each others hands tightly.
The men pulled the triggers and killed them instantly, shooting them through the chest.
The tears poured down and I wailed for my parents and my life.
Suddenly one of them smashed something hard on my head, causing me to fall on my stomach. I felt a hot liquid dripping down my face and I could only pray that it was water.
I knew it wasn't when I started to feel tired.
"Stupid girl. You will now live with the lonely pain. Just as we have had to deal with the lonely pain of being an outcast in this horrible town."
I made a promise to myself then and there that I wouldn't let anyone close to me. I wouldn't let anyone come near me. I will never let anyone make me feel this pain again.
