Ashton, Rhea and I made our way down to the cafe to eat our first dinner her.

When we walked in, it was clear that the cliques had already formed.

Every one of the circular tables seemed to be filled with different... types of people. Jocks, nerds, goths, and then your average folkt that always have some strange comon interest.

After getting our food, we walked around looking for a table. There were none!

"You would think there would be at least ONE open table," Ashton grummbled.

Then some kid with blonde hair and dark blue eyes came bouncing up to us.

"Hi! You three must be new. I'm Cameron. Nice to meet you. You three can sit with us if you want,"  He smiled and motioned to a table filled with only about five seats left. There were two other boys and one girl. They were all looking at us nicely. Rhea's face mirrored my nervous and uncomfortable expression.

Ashton however had a big smile on her face, "Sure! We'd love to!" I was about to make a run for it but Ashton took us by our elbows and dragged us to their table. We sat down and Cameron began introducing us.

"That's Ryan, Bridget and Rick."

They all said hey back.

"And whats your name sweetie?" a voice came from next to my ear. I spun around in shock and faced the person. He had red hair and green eyes. His mouth formed a content smirk.

Rick laughed, "That's Matthew. He likes to tease girls to make him seem less gay. Little does he know, that's impossible."

Matthew chuckled, "Wrong," he smirked and stood on a chair, "I'm gay and I'm proud!"

The whole table minus Rhea and I laughed. Rhea looked uncomfortable because the whole cafe was now staring at us. I just didn't like talking to so many people in one day.

Eventually, Matthew sat down. And everyone went back to chatting with their friends. Rhea relaxed and went back to eating.

"You three never answered Matthew's question. What's you name?" the boy named Ryan asked. He was looking at me kinda funny. Like I had a retarded chicken on my head or something. He seemed more... In awe though. I couldn't put my finger on the emotion on his face.

Rhea responed before Ashton got the chance, "I'm Rhea Sanford, blondie over here is Ashton Beckingham, and the gloomy girl is Natalia Goldsworth.''

I expected them to be casual and all, "ok cool. Nice to meet you." But no! That wasn't what happened at all. Their faces expressed a mix of shock, terror, happiness, and excitement.

"So you're the girls the teachers were talking about last year! It's an honor to meet you!" Bridget exclaimed with a huge smile on her face.

What the heck was she talking about.

As if she was were reading my mind, Ashton said, "What are you talking about?" All three of us probably looked so confused.

They started whispering among themselfs and the three of us exchanged confused lookes, silently asking eachother if they knew what was going on. Of course, none of us knew so we turned our attention back to the five of them arguing in front of us.

"They don't know yet...."

"Should we tell them?"

"NO!"

"They'll find out tomorrow."

"But they are our..."

We are their what???? They all turned toward us before Bridget could finish her statement.

Rick looked at all three of us, "You will find out in your gifted classes tomorrow. Ok? Don't worry about it." He gave us a reassuring smile.

These people were being too nice. I didn't want to be their friend. I already had two friends. And I only need two! I don't wanna be friggin' Justin Bieber.

Then the bell wrang and we said our goodbyes to the strange crowd.

As we walked back up to our room, Ashton asked, "Do you guys have any idea what they were talking about?"

Rhea opened the door and I shrugged, "I have no idea Ash. They were all secretive. And what happens in our "Gifted Classes"? Isn't that like extened math and stuff?"

Rhea sighed, "After that conversation, I'm not so sure. There's something really weird about that school. And how people are treating us. Did you see the way they looked at us when we told them our names?"

"Ya, that was really weird. I don't know. Maybe they do that to all the new students?" Ashton sudgetsted.

I shook my head, "I don't think so. Sadly, all we can do for now is wait till our classes tomorrow."

They agreed and we all got ready for the evening in silence.

After a few hours of reading, tv watching, and ice cream eating, we called it a night.

"Goodnight Natalia. Goodnight Rhea," Ashton said cheerily while turning out the light.

"Goodnight Ashton. Goodnight gloomy girl." Even in the dark I could tell Rhea was smirking.

"Hey!" I protested, "That's not nice. Goodnight Ashton. Goodnight Rhea."

Ashton giggled, "You two are so much nicer than the girls in Cali."

I don't think we were ment to hear that last part.

But I did.

And I smiled.
