The rusted red truck pulled onto the dirt road that lead from the main road to our little camp. Since there weren't very many trees or plants, I could see the truck from where I was standing.

Julie sent the message that she was coming today, since we only had three days until the equinox. Tomorrow we all fly back to Acrylic, where we will prepare. Ashton, Rhea and I still have no idea how we are going to make that 'beam' that they talked about in Ruby's journal, but we try everyday.

Of course, with no avail.

The book says we must look deep inside ourselves and find the eternal love.

What the hell is that supposed to mean?

If it means we have to find our soul mates then we are all royaly screwed, as none of us have.

A beeping horn snapped me out of my trance, and I saw Julie step out of the car in a blue sundress. Her hair was pulled into a neat bun, and her face was free of any imperfections. As always though, she wasn't smiling.

"I brought visitors. They snuck on board with me, and traveled all the way here," she motioned behind her and moved to go talk to Rhea about somthing.

Out of the car stepped Jullian, Alex, and Riley.

Anger burst inside of me and a low grunt escaped in my throat, "What do you three think you're doing here?"

Jullian moved towards me and I took a step back, glaring at him. "Don't come any closer you germ."

Brilliant comeback Natalia, very smart. Germ? Really?

Riley and Julllian laughed histerically, and Jullian shook his head slowly. "We came to help. Madame Lawrence said we could since we are all in good shape. Pretty much we volenteered to be a sheild if anyone shoots something at one of you by surprise." He shrugged. I stared at him like a fish out of water. Jullian did this to be NICE? Well... might as well go with it.

"Ummm. Thanks," I said awkwardly, "What are your powerlevels?"

Alex smiled at me, "I'm a four, Jullian is a three point five, and Riley is a two."

"Cool," I said.

Riley shifted uncomfortably on his feet, and turned to me. He looked really worn and worried. "Is Rhea still mad at me?" he asked, his voice breaking slightly.

His pale blue eyes were shining into mine, looking upset and guilty. I nodded, honestly sad at my answer. Riley's entire face fell, and he hung his head in shame. "Is there any way I could talk to you alone Natalia?"

I nodded again, and told Alex and Jullian where to go. Alex immediately ran into Ashton's waiting arms. She was so happy he was here, her face just lit up when she saw him running towards her. Ever since their first date, they had been inseperable. Her loud and carfree personality complemented his shy and carful personality perfectly.

Riley and I walked a ways to the edge of the pond, and sat down looking out at the water.

Neither one of us knew what to say, but we both knew what each other was thinking. He was sad about Rhea. He wanted  her back because he finally realized he had made a mistake. She was clearly uncomfortable with how he acted and talked towards her, but he didn't aknowlage that. Now, he was paying the price.

"Natalia, I feel so guilty," he whispered, putting his head between his knees. "Everytime I said a perverted comment, I was doing it out of lust for her. I liked her, and I thought we were just joking around. But, she didn't take it that way.
