It's been a week since my little talk with my parents and Gran. Everything seemed to being going back to normal.
Now I was sitting in my dorm, watching the snow silently fall down my window. Everyone was going home for the holidays next week. I had nothing to go back to though. It was all gone.
Ashton came and sat next to me. Rhea had left to go Christmas shopping. She said Ashton and I would ruin the surprise if we came.
"Natalia, are you ok?" Ashton asked worriedly.
Deciding there was no point in lying, I sighed, "I'm just sad that I have to stay here for the whole break. All alone." I pouted.
Ashton sighed and put on her thinking face.
Ashton's thinking face is pretty much her pulling her lip out and narrowing her eyes, looking away from whoever she was previously talking to.
Suddenly, she erupted into a huge smile and turned to me. She probably had one of those light-bulb moments.
"What is it Ashton?" I asked hesitantly.
Ashton giggled, "You guys should come home with me! Rhea can come after she spends a week with her family. She could come right before Christmas after spending time with her family! You could come with me though!"
Is this girl insane? I hated planes. They were my one true fear. Obviously she didn't notice how tense and scared I was last time. I was going to tell her no, but seeing her hopeful face made me reconsider. She just looked so hopeful and... Ugh I'm going to regret this later. It was so nice that she was willing to do that for me though. Wow, that was really nice.
"Ashton?"
She looked at me with a huge smile on her face, "Ya Nat?"
"You truly are the greatest. I couldn't have asked for a better friend. I guess we should think about getting our presents too then huh?" I asked with a crooked smile.
Ashton squealed and pulled me into a hug, "Yes! Oh this is going to be the best Christmas ever!"
An hour later, Rhea trudged into our dorm with about fifty shopping bags.
"Hey guys! I'm back!" She sang.
We told her Ashton's suggestion and she agreed happily.
Ashton and I went to town and parted to go shopping. I got Ryan a gold watch, Cameron sound canceling headphones, Rick a new iHome, Bridget a new designer bag, and Matthew a new outfit I picked out for him. I put a lot of effort into Ashton and Rhea's gifts. For Rhea, I got her a new pair of Ugg boots, a sculpture of a star I made out of wood, and a charm bracelet with four charms that were a mix of silver and gold. I got Ashton a new guitar, a charm bracelet that matched Rhea's but it was gold, and I made her a stone sculpture of a sun. I also got myself a charm bracelet that matched theirs, but mine was silver. Thank goodness I was the moon child or I would NEVER been able to afford this stuff.
We all agreed that we would have a "Mini Christmas" before we went our seprate ways for break. I recieved a text from Rick saying it was planned to be tomorrow, so i got the gifts just in time!
I met up with Ashton and we chatted the whole way back to school anything and everything. When we got to our dorm door, it was almost curfew. We opened the door and immediately stopped laughing.
Rhea was sitting on the floor, eyes closed, talking in weird jibberish.
I shook her, "Rhea what's wrong?"
She looked up at us, "Don't scream Ashton."
Suddenly, a cute little boy seemed to come through the wall that faced outside. He had fluffy blond hair and bright green eyes that probably once shined. He looked normal, except for the fact that his eyes had a barren look and he was wearing tattered dress clothes. His hair had clearly not been brushed in a while and he smelled strongly of mold and soot. Also, this boy's body seemed to have a white glow to it.
