Dedicated to:@parkingminghao
I roll over in my bed, ridding of the crust in my eyes from barely getting any sleep. My covers were in a bunch on the floor and there was a drool stain on the wrinkly pillow I was clinging to for life.
As if I wasn't already sensitive to any noise from just waking up, my phone goes off, and I fold my pillow tightly over my ears. "Aish!" I groan loudly as Seventeen's song, Rock, was blasted through my phone. My best friend Minghao's part in the song blared in my ears, for he set his part as my ringtone the other night.
"What!" I yelled into the phone. It was a FaceTime, so I got a good look at the sleep mark strewn across my sleep deprived face.
"You've always been cranky in the morning ever since you were little," Minghao laughs through the screen.
"Yeah well I don't remember you being such a little-" I'm interrupted as Minghao enters another room filled with twelve more obnoxious boys.
"Yah! Is that (Y/N)?" DK runs up closely to the screen so I saw nothing but his nose and mouth. I giggle to myself, rolling my eyes at his childishness.
DK pulls away from the screen, revealing all thirteen boys in their dance practice room staring. I instinctively dove my fave into my pillow mumbling, "Don't look at me! I just woke up!"
"Relax, pabo," Minghao smiles at me when I peek one eye at the screen. "You always look beautiful in the morning." I blush at his words, not removing my head from my pillow until the heat disappeared from my cheeks.
"Are you still coming to see us practice today?" Vernon looks expectantly at me.
"You guys still want me to?" I question, earning a chorus of head nodding. "Okay. I'll be up there soon. I just need to get changed real quick.
Minghao pouts, doing some adorable aegyo that made my heart melt. "Aw... Why don't you stay on the phone until you get here?"
"I just told you." I say, repeating myself. "I have to get changed."
"So?"
"Yah, byuntae!" I yell into the phone. The other boys tease him, and I stand up to go pick some clothes out. "I'll see you soon."
"Hyung, are you ever going to tell her?" I could've sworn I heard Dino mutter this to Minghao before the FaceTime call was quicky ended. Even though my back was to my phone, I know I heard something of the sorts.
Shrugging it off, I pull out my comfy clothes and drive the way to Pledis to meet the boys for their practice.
"Hi boys!" I greet, entering the building without question as I usually did on Sundays. I hug each boy, counting the boys as I did so. There were twelve in total. "Um,"
"He fell asleep," Woozi chuckles under his breath.
"How did you-"
"I could read your face. You two aren't that hard to figure out when it comes to each other," Woozi winks at me, turning and leaving, expecting me to follow him.
Following his lead, I could hear all the boys snicker behind me as Woozi creaked open the practice room door, peeking his head inside.
He waves us all inside with a finger to his lips, signaling us to stay quiet. "Aw..." Seungkwan giggles. "Look at our sweet little Minghao."Entering the room myself, I see a sweet Minghao curled up into a ball in the middle of the studio floor. I bit the inside of my cheek, worried that I would laugh aloud and wake him up. "Go wake him up," I feel Seungcheol whisper in my ear.
"No!" I shake my head furiously. "He'll be pissed!"
"Not if it's you," Dino mumbles as I shoot him daggers.
I start walking in backward into the room, firing things back at the boys who were forcing me to wake him up. I eventually regretted my decision even coming here in the first place when the back of the foot came in contact with something hard, earning a grown from whoever was the owner of what I hit.
It was too late to stop myself as I came tumbling down backward towards the floor. I close my eyes, anticipating the hard floor coming in contact with the back of my head, but the contact never came. Looking down at where I landed, I see that I'm now laying on top of a now partially awake Minghao with two arms around my waist. "What a nice surprise."
"Sorry, but these idiots," I gesture up to the boys gathered around us. "Wanted me to wake you up. You looked to peaceful."
"When did you get here?" He asks as I sit up on him.
"Couple minutes ago. Why?"
"You guys should've woken me up! We haven't even started practicing." Minghao shakes his head, throwing it back down on the floor.
"You still can." The room suddenly gets silent to the point where you could here a pin hit the ground. The only clear sound now was a couple of the boys huddled toegther speaking in hushed whispers.
All at once, thee boys turn and smirk at me, giving me eery chills. Especially a smiling Woozi who hooked an arm tightly around my waist and dragged me to the corner of the practice room. With his hands firmly on my waist, I crossed my arms over my chest, raising a suspicious eyebrow at him. He was always like this around me. He just loved playing games. "What is it this time, Woozi?" I mumble at him, trying my best to ignore the stares of the others. Especially the burning glare of Minghao.
"It's been taking me a while to work up the nerve to tell you this, but I think I'm ready." He sighs, making some odd eye contact if you ask me. It was hard reading his indistinguishable expression.
"Listen... I really li-"
"I love you (Y/N)!" I hear these words screeched in my ear as if that person was afraid he'd never get the words out fast enough. Looking up at a pink haired Woozi, I realize it wasn't him who uttered those words.
To my surprise, I turn my head to see a pink faced Minghao, looking down as if in shame at what he'd just admitted to himself and everyone in my room. "Yes!" Woozi screamed, pumping his fist up in the air. "I knew it would work!"
"I told you pabos," Hoshi snickered, a hand on his hip in satisfaction.
"I- uh... Sorry. I didn't mean-" I unconsciously decide to shut Minghao up before he could embarrass himself any further by pressing my lips so his. He kissed me back without hesitation as he smiled into the kiss, wrapping his arms around my back and pressing our bodies close together.
Breathless, I pulled away from him. I laugh aloud when I see Jeonghan and Wonwoo covering Dino's eyes. "Well why didn't you ever just tell me so, idiot?" I smirk, poking Minghao's nose.
"Well maybe if you weren't so obnoxious, I would've had the balls to do it!" Minghao shoots back, putting our foreheads together.
"I love you," I sigh against him, wrapping my arms around his neck with the biggest smile possible on my face.
"I love you too, jagi."
