Playlist : Adele - When We Were Young

Let me tell you, I feel ultimately confused and hurt.

To start off, I had no idea that Liana was pregnant before. Mason said that he was seven years old, so then that means she had him the year I left for Britain. I'm honestly confused on who the hell the father could be. Before I left for England, I was the only boy Liana was close to.

What kind of sick little bastard knocks her up and leaves a beautiful lady behind after she got pregnant? I mean, that's bollucks!

A/N: joe is such an idiot

To be honest, I don't know if I still love her. I thought I wouldn't at least have feelings when I would see her again. I thought about it when all of us were flying over to Florida on the plane, for it was all I could think about. But then I saw her for the first time in seven years. Sure, she was always cute. But now, she was bloody gorgeous and I had to mentally tell myself to not stare at her. That's when I realized that I definitely had some feelings for her still, even though it wasn't smart of me.

"I'm going to the toilets." I said, excusing myself from the table. I quietly sneaked upstairs, walking around the second floor, fascinated by the roofing of their house. I've been here plenty of times before back when we were in high school, so I knew my way around the house pretty well. I heard mumbling from Liana's old room, so I tiptoed towards the door. Thank God it's carpet.

"Mason, just know that I love you to death." I hear Liana's voice. I could hear Mason sniffling. "Nothing will ever keep me from loving you." I felt my heart burning in my chest, and it wasn't a good feeling. Then I realized, that I hated to hear her crying. It broke my heart. It still does.

"I love you, too, mommy."

"That's the first time you've called me mommy in a year." I hear her mumble. I suddenly had an idea to cheer them up, because this is just plain depressing.

I tiptoed downstairs and sneaked passed the dinner table and walked into the kitchen. I looked through all of the cabinets and found a huge strainer. I grabbed it carefully without making any noise and tiptoed back upstairs.

I didn't hear them talking, but I heard sniffling. I'm sure that they are just laying down on bed, cuddling. I don't know, I could be wrong. I softly knocked on the door as I put on the strainer on my head.

"Who is it?" Liana asked.

"Um, it's Joe." I said. Oh, son of a bitch, I just realized how awkward this might become.

"Uh, come in." She said. I twisted the doorknob, and entered the room. When I entered the room, it all came back to me. The cuddling, the fighting, the laughter. Everything was in the same place. I remember the gray walls that we had painted together and the white headboards. The sheets were different, though. When I was here, they were teal. Now they were white.

Flashback *

"You blimmin' idiot!" I yelled, laughing at her as she fell to the floor from her bed. She was basically dying of laughter, as she struggled to push herself up and off of the floor.

"You're the one who pushed me off!"

"That's rubbish, you little shit!" I laughed. "I gently shoved you and you rolled over to the end of the bed!" I exclaimed, still laughing as she collapsed on the floor yet again.

"Yeah, which basically means that it was your fault." She exclaimed, laughing slightly. "Damn, I need to workout." She mumbled as I gave her my hand. She took it and plopped right back on the bed. I kissed her hand and she smiled, blushing.

"You're perfect, love."

"You need shut your hole of lies before I actually start to believe you."

"I'm not lying." I said, probably smiling like an idiot. I couldn't help it; she made me completely happy. I leaned in and kissed her forehead. She laced her fingers with mine and stared at our hands.

"What is this? What are we?" She asked quietly.

"Whatever you want it to be, love."

"Stop calling me that. You're so annoying."

*

"Uh, mom, who is that?" Mason asked. For a second, I thought I could hear an accent in his voice. Well, it wasn't really an accent, but he had something going on in his voice. Huh, I've never really noticed it before.

"I'm the tin man, from uh, oh God what is that film called again?" I asked, scratching my head from the inside of the strainer.

"Do you mean The Wizard of Oz?" Liana asked, and I could hear her and Mason faintly laughing from the strainer. Their laughter was like music to my ears.

"Uh, yeah! That show- I mean film." Now, I wasn't actually doing this on purpose. I actually didn't know the movie. I laughed silently in my head. Classic Joe.

I sat down on the foot of the bed, sitting in front of Mason. "Do you want to go on an adventure?"

"Well, I mean, I know the house pretty well, so. . ." He mumbled.

"You can show me around, mate!" I said in a weird tin man voice. I don't mean to brag, but I was pretty great at impressions.

He shrugged. "I don't really feel like walking around, though."

"Ahoy." I said, fisting my hand in a punching motion, as if I were a pirate. Although I didn't really understand why I did that. Then the strainer/helmet fell on the side of my face, and Liana laughed, so I looked at her laughed aswell.

"That didn't really make any sense, but okay." Mason said, laughing a little. He laid back down in bed next to Liana. I felt really awkward sitting there at the end of their bed, plus my back was getting sore, so I decided to lay down right by their feet that were under the covers.

As I laid down, my head hit the border of the bed, which made a huge clang due to the blimmin' strainer on my head. Jesus!

A/N: lmao i absolutely love how he says Jesus. idk it's just hilarious to me.

"Oh, crikey!" I said as I put my hands to the strainer, groaning. "Oh, I did not see that coming." I heard them both laughing at me as I took off the strainer. "Okay, that's enough of that." I said. They were clearly happy now.

"Your name is Joe?" Mason asked. I nodded, throwing the strain her on the ground. "Cool. I like that name."

I smiled. "Thanks, little mate. I like your name, too." I said, messing his hair up with my hand. And I did, I genuinely liked his name.

"I'm gonna go downstairs. I'm hungry again from all of that crying." He said, hopping off from the bed. Now it was only Liana and I laying down on the bed, opposite sides from each other.

"Thank you, for that." She said quietly, looking down. I could practically feel the awkward tension is the air.

"Uh, you're welcome. I can never see anyone crying." I said truthfully. From my experience, I was sure as hell I was telling the truth.

She smiled at the covers of her bed. She bit her lip, and dear God I loved it when she did that. She was so beautiful.
